  • wish he was coming to STL!!!!

  • great lyrics.man that place is packed to the rafters. just shows how many appreciate his talent.

  • what a tune ! one of the greatest ever composed for sure.

  • goosebumps is the only way to describe how this song makes me feel

  • @ Brad, my sentiments exactly..........

  • i so wish i had been there. life is for the living

  • Is this not one of the greatest songs ever written..? !! Man, I get teary eyed at the beauty of it every time I watch and listen to it. Music at it's finest. Roger Hodgson was brilliant to say the least, and what a voice! I remember hearing Take the Long Way Home for the first time when I was a kid and even then I stopped what I was doing to listen to it as I was in awe. I listen to it now and I am still amazed as ever...

  • You are one lucky person!

  • Going to see him tonight in Atlantic City!!!

  • that. was. amazing.

  • one of my favorite songs.....ever. goosebumps.

  • 1 guy took the short way home

  • i have this exact version on a cd

  • Take The long way home!

  • He's still Rockin' the house with philosophy! Love it!!!

  • "Then your wife seems to think you're part of the furniture...it's peculiar,,,she used to be sooo nice"

  • Roger Hodgson = Singer, Writer, Composer, Soulman, a Legend

  • wish I could have been there with my harmonica !...

    Love R. H.

  • what happened to the sweet harmonica riff intro to the song, that's perhaps the most classic part about this song, the deep sense of nostalgia and melancholy that goes with that harmonica riff, it's so memorable. The song loses that mood without the harmonica.

  • MASTER PIECE!!!!!!

  • Wheres the Harmonica??? thats the only reason i like this song

  • too bad he couldnt be the frontman for supertramp again.

  • As good as it get´s! Man a miss the 70`s

  • This is one for the soundtrack of my life. I hope rog is reading this...thank you, a priceless moment everytime I hear it.

  • I have always loved this song! It has such a good feeling to it and the lyrics are awesome! It's a masterpiece for sure!

  • Beautiful. Background music of my youth. This song, and the album from which it came, reminds me of a high school ski trip on a greyhound bus in '79.

This album playing at the front of be bus. Van Halen 1 at the back. Heh, Heh

The long bus ride there allowed me - finally - enough time and courage to tell a girl I had a crush on for 2 years how I felt. The best decision of my life up to that point. Needless to say, it was a great trip :-)

  • This man is a God. He may be in his 60s but he still sounds like he's in his prime. What has happened to music these days? Its as if all music these days is manufactured cellophane wrapped performers who play on puppet strings. The real talent was left behind in the 70s.

  • i would love to see this live by the man himself!

  • Love that all-time classic from Roger "Mr. Supertramp" Hodgson :))) So happy he is again touring this year, don't miss him if you get the chance to visit one of his most fantastic live concerts, he's more than worth to see and hear !!!

  • ufff

    what a song for christ!

  • love the song

  • wieso war ich nicht da ??? :-(

  • Montreal really helped to "discover" this great band.

  • Take the Long Way Home is yet another masterpiece from singer/writer/composer Roger Hodgson. The classics that have come from this man are amazing. What a talent.

  • I was there and the energy was awesome. Keep touring Roger and please do a US tour soon.

  • @zero9r1

    Lucky duck!
