Hey man I agree with you; it's actually something out of my control - I have my settings selected as "Do not allow advertisements", but because I do not have complete ownership (i.e. partial copyright) of my videos, I think YouTube still has the power to advertise. I'd recommend going into your privacy settings on Youtube and making sure that the option "Please use my account information to provide me with relevant advertising" is unticked. Adblock will also block any ads as well.
