With that being said, I would still like to see a bus last 40 years such as #762 from Victoria. I don't know about the rest of BC but it seems that Vancouver buses are only used for 20 years before being retired.
When I was last in Vancouver in '93, they had the best maintained, best running "fishbowls" I'd seen in years, although they were at the time being retired for "Flyers" and others. The "new looks" weren't as "hardy" as the old looks, which with good maintenance, would last virtually forever.
@busfanjim try to see an italian breta buses last its like just within the last 4 years or so they have body cracks that are forming and also they have an aging computer electric system from like 1979 that needs updating. thats king county metro for ya

Toronto is currently running a large fleet of "New Looks". In March of 2010 I saw one running a Rexall billboard on the rear end. It was like being in a time warp
just to let you all kno to whoevr lives in b.c if you go to grandvill or downtown vancover thay got 50 of the gmc fishbowls that are restored and are on the road including some car brill trolleys and desil style thay got 10 of the new flyer e900 and e901 busses that jave been restored and on the road today i just got on a gmc fishbowl and today isthursday april23 2009 and there gonna be here for the 2010 olimpic games so go to vancover and go near grandvill and ull see alot of gmc fishbowls !!
