Honestly scientists have been using global warming to scare lay-people into funding their research programs for decades now, however, if you TALK to these scientists, there is a consensus that human contributions of greenhouse gasses and water vapor can only be slightly affecting the natural oscillation of climate change. Look at the raw data for climate oscillation in the past you'll see we are near the peak of a warm cycle now.

@Smullet90 Yea, ofcourse we have warmcycles, but having it sky rocket, melting through glaciers and the polar ice caps like a hot knife through butter. One can argue all day about how a cow farting is putting out more carbon emissions then a normal human being but at the end of the day the ridiculous. There has never in forever been this high amount of carbondioxide levels in the atmosphere. Be it for all the cows farting or all the (constant) burning of fossile fuels, it has to stop.

@deadist First off, the average amount of ice is down slightly, due to climate change. At most CO2 emissions are only PARTLY (and i stress, partly) to blame. However there is no real plausible solution to the problem without sacrificing 100s of millions of human lives (worse than global warming itself). We can only focus our limited resources on problems with practical solutions. Take hope, however, with the way technology is moving we will replace fossil fuels VERY soon.
