I mean,Im a human paladin and on the 80% of the raids and dungeons they say "okay you will be the healer while the warriors tanking"

Get a different guild IMO. I fill in any slot in H Naxx as prot, Healing or Ret, depending on whats needed. Paladins are great at everything. Though I gotta admit we have a DK with 31khp unbuffed and almost 70% avoidance who is a tanking king.

ok, so currently my paladin is only 16k hp unbuffed, but he is uncrittable and uncrushable. in Beta as prot he is pushing +847 spelldamage. now with moves that generate "high threat", i am afaraid to say warrior's are gonna get replaced.

i've met good warrior tanks, druids, and paladins. each of them has their own way of tanking. warriors and druids start out great, while pallies don't get that credit at the beginning, they start out not so great, and as they build they actually meet and surpass warriors and druids.

well i know all sort of tanks im a palla tank a friend of me is a warior and another a druid ( all tanks) but the druid tank still is the best he can still hold agro on more mobs not so efective as palas but good enough and have tons of health/armor

pala tank = best aoe tank and this dungeon requires aoe tanking

and pala tanks gain mana through being healed and once they gain a huge amount of initial agro so that they can swap moves so they can use wisdom etc!

Pally tanks have highest aggro on my tankadin with my aggro becames like 5 times more then the 2nd highest aggro on an dps on heroic bosses and tankadins r very good aggro on mobs

Paladin skill get resisted too, or 'miss'. Also, Paladin melee misses, which means no SoR/SoV dmg/stack.

My Paladin can do around 1500 solid TPS, 2200+ burst. Our warrior MT -barely- does less. It's not "way more", and we're both equal gear level- tier6.

To those who say ret pala dps is weak, it gets better in 25 man raids than it does in 5 mans. The extra 2% damage, if the paladin has imp. sanctity aura, helps 1 group. Not much but its some. The big damage is Imp judgement of the crusader, which helps all 25 peoples crits on the target. Doesn't seem like much but thats a LOT more crits. Plus 2 holy pally can throw light and wisdom judgements on a boss, and a ret pally can keep them judged by using crusdaer strike. Makes it TONS easier.

Judgement of righteousness takes scales by 73% of their spell damage. Concecration scales by 76%. Your right it scales with gear. A paladin who has 500-600 spell damage would generate a ton of threat. Yet a paladin starting off with only blue avoidance gear and maybe 1 or 2 pieces of crappy spell damage gear will have no threat. A paladin can only be better at single mob tanking than a warrior if he had the best gear in the game.

Paladin tanks are better than warrior tanks IMO. Warrior tanks can handle single mob threat better than a paladin, but a paladin can STILL handle single mob threat very well. Warriors can NOT hold as many mobs nearly as good, or nearly as many, as a paladin tank can. Paladin tanks are more versatile, and the fact that they can have a good healing set and spam flash of light and be a backup healer in fights makes them more useful than a warrior who can only wannabe dps if they don't tank.

Nicely done. for the gauntlet right after that, check out "pallys can't tank heroic shattered halls". We've got the run down to 45 min heroic from zone-in to portal out, all melee group. Pally is essentially the Tank-CC, while the dps focus fire down mobs systematically .

Warriors absorb more damage, paladins have more ways to get their own health back. If you factor in judgement and seal of light into overall mitigation, paladins will come out above warriors and druids every time.

normally when i tank, i have a pally healer and a shaman healer, for one, so i can have BoSanc, have kings andhave stoneskin totem and other shit ect ect, i keep devo on while the other pally keeps ret aura, i hit AW, trinket, toss sheild, judge righteous, the jduge crusader and jsut keep going at it, not hard

ya we can tank wo the aoe but , we tank multiple mobs well and this helps other classes use there aoe/ multi shot what ev on more targets wo pulling aggro , on single non boss pulls we dont use it , unless ur rollin with a heavy dpser who likes to pull aggro

Well, yea, it helps a lot , but if its not for multiple MOBS and you can hold aggro really good w/o I advise usin it for mob aggro mostly, if ur takin on a boss, try savin a lil bit of mana if u a lil low on it, I usually bust it out on bosses and huge Mobs

Had a pally tank SH, group makeup holy priest, mage, rogue, hunter, and obviously the pally. we didnt need to use CC at all he was able to hold agro on everything. than at kargath he tanked him and all adds. it was easy to keep him topped off also. pally tanks are coming up. i just think they need to try and stop dpsing, tank or healers what their best at.

I have a level 70 paladin (43holy-18prot) and I tank all 5 man instances and some heroics. I also off tank kara.

My 'regular' group consist of the following, 2 paladin (myself and a friend, healer), fire mage, destro lock, AND a shadow priest.

Needless to say that I can hold aggro from all of them with only 18 points in prot. Learn2Play and quit stating something you know nothing about.
