Hey Heir, I love your videos and I've watched them since RTW, Empire, Napoleon and Shogun... I just bought Shogun a couple of days ago and I had 2-0 in multiplayer games, the third game however was against a 10-star general (I'm rank 1!) and believe it or not I defeated his army(I"ve watched a lot of shogun vids and I'm not new to total war games), the only thing he had left was his 11 strong general bodyguard which owned my 3 beat up loan swords, my spears and my general...

In the beginning of the battle- you grouped all of your men together, and moved them as a single block- how did you do that? 4:23 ?

1st battle. he should have pushed his advantages with the bow monks and try to prevent you from taking the workshop. And he should not have split his troops like that lol

2nd battle was just a laughter. he really picked the wrong army for that map. he should have used it in a forest heavy map instead. and not throw away his gen so early in the battle.. And what person in the right mind set wants too charge spear units head on lol

You need a random drop plus a certain achievement. Check the armor sets and you'll see that the unbalanced spears is a reward for completing the armor set

Lol I had a similar situation with against a guy who used an all cav strategy where i just simply created a circle around my forces with yari samurai on a hill and when I didnt charge his cav with my mostly katana samurai army he got mad and quit.

lol i was just "defending" a forest but just because my opponent monk spammed me he outnumbered me cav wise and infantry wise obviously but since i neutralized his monks biggest strenght : their defence my kat sams went out and had a field day with his monks :P but i still felt bad for saying in a forest on a hill even but if i had stayed out in the open i woulda been swarmed :P
