I had the game until two weeks ago when I had to return it, the disc was fine but, everytime I was walking along the halberd it cut me off. The guys in gamestop said it was because my wii didn't have this software patch thing, and we didn't buy the Adapter that would have let us download it.

Can't do that. SSE follows 1 story. Only alterations made is whether you select Mario or Kirby, and whether you free Peach or Zelda
