'Chinese Seventh' is the actual term, and it's just the name for a certain voicing of the standard barbershop 7th chord which you hear all the time (root, major 3rd, 5th, harmonic 7th)

A chinese seventh is when the chord is voiced (from the top): Root, 7th, 3rd, 5th

So in this case, it's an Eb7 chord, and the tenor has a high Eb (root), the bari is on the Db just below it (7th), the lead has the post on a G (3rd) and the bass is on a Bb (5th) =)

And it is indeed very kickarse =P

@MTGlipp You're just mistaken about the part voicing. Instead of kicking each one up, I took the bass and put it on the Eb root above everything else. Bari Bb (5th) Lead G (3rd) Tenor Db (7th) Bass Eb (Root) And essentially, when you think of it that way, its the exact same chord the original tag has, except you take the bass note and raise it 2 octaves.
