@shadow54ification Hi, thanks for writing. The sheet music can be ordered from my website. YouTube doesn't allow links in comments, but the link is in the video description. :-)
@maliarice Hi, a woodwind quintet includes the five instruments shown. I probably could make an arrangement for saxophones but I like to arrange for WW5.
if only my woodwind quintet were still together we could play this, now its only four of us and the clarinet just got switched since she was too busy and couldn't practice Variations on All the Pretty little horses.
"A wind quintet, also sometimes known as a woodwind quintet, is a group of five wind players (most commonly flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon)." - Wikipedia
Search "woodwind quintet" and all of the professional quintets that show up include those 5 instruments.
Yes, sorry, I used to have the sheet music up for free but it was frustrating that so many people were downloading it without donating anything. Please contact me by email (newedit617 / yahoo) if you would like the sheet music. Thanks.
This is an amazing arrangement! I love it. Each part looks fun to play. I should show this video to some friends at my school to see if we could try to play it!
By the way, what programs do you use to create these videos? I know you use Music Animation Machine, but what else? Music notation, screen capture software...
Right, MAM makes the animation of MIDI files, but I used "CAM Studios" (also free) to do the screen captures. CAM will then save the video (but without sound). I then open that video with Windows Movie Maker and sync it with the sound file.
For compostion, I use Finale.
I do have sheet music, so let me know if you want to play it!
Ok so I totally love all your compositions and arrangments, especially your arrang. of all the little horses and the christmas carol. Anyways perhaps my most favorite part of this peice was "yeah" when the French horn had the opening melody...pretty sweet!! Oh but you might want to think about changing the French Horn part...not many players can hit High D's=disgruntled horn players. I'm thinking about bringing in the Christmas carol for the quintet I'm in...keep up the good work.
I agree about some of the parts being a bit unreasonable to play. I'm not too familiar with the range of the French horn and did make that part too high... the nice thing about pop music is that players are a bit more free to improvise, luckily!
Please let me know if you play the Christmas piece, and happy quinteting!
i wish i could play likie that on my clarinet!!!! yall r so asome!!!!!! i would love to know how to play "hey ya"!!!!! yall r cool dont ever stop playing!!!!!!

Check the horn resolution at 2:33 Sounds it should be resolving a half step and not a whole step.

I think french horn part of Hey Ya and Yeah should be lowered for one octave. But totally you have done quite well.
sirisobhakya 2 years ago
Yea but the french horn is still part of a woodwind quintet.

Um...you do know that a french horn isn't a woodwind, right?
Synh6416 2 years ago
Um... you do know what instruments are in a wind quintet, right?
Fuzz2873 2 years ago 3
Any can be, but I would think that a woodwind quintet would only have woodwinds, wouldnt you?
