don't quite remember the full story, but when Plante was hit in the face with a puck he opted to wear a mask. and the coach didn't like the idea. he wanted the mask gone. back then it was unheard of to tell the coach NO. and he did. after a while he (the coach) caved and let Plante have his mask. and the rest is history. (not fully sure all info is correct but it went something like that)

I believe masks were custom made to each players face and Plante's mask probably didn't fit Parent.

NHL Network needs to play these new commercials instead of the same old ones.. like Ace Bailey, Wayne Gretzky, or Sittler ones. If you ever watch more than an hour of NHL Network like I do, you know exactly what I am talking about. Thanks for making more vids!
