Ha ha, your funny, and cute. And yes, ADD and ADHD do exist, but I submit that the treatment that should be used is not amphetamines, rather a regimen of proper exercise, diet and neurofeedback. For those of you who don't know about neurofeedback theraphy, google it. It is a great alternative to medication and does not have side effects.

I was told I had ADD by a doctor when I was in 5th grade in believe.

I was put on medication and then it started to give me headaches after a year, and that was a sign to the doctors that I no longer needed to take it.

I've done very well since then. I overcame my A.D.D :)

Yeah I'm going to the doctor tomorrow and just searching / reading online about ADD. I'm almost 30 years old and I just ignored it for too long. Had too many years of people telling me I don't pay attention and I'm immature. Also, lost my girlfriend because she thought I didn't care about her for never listening or paying attention to what she says. I haven't read a book since high school and I only used to read them for class. Mostly all I read now are online articles because they're short.

I was "diagnosed" with ADD a year ago. I use quotations because I don't know how the fuck anyone can determine such a thing in another individual. Meds became a thing of the past after I lost quite a bit of weight and became disgusted by the sensation that I was a robot with sticky gears. I could concentrate better, but I felt inhuman without having any emotion towards anything. Now my grades are slipping and I don't know if I'm either retarded, distracted, or am too aware of my emotions.

I am not on medication for ADHD, but I was in middle school. It did not help me much. Ritalin was all that existed in the 80's for it. That shit gave me problems. I could not sleep and it did not help me pay attention. But they have better meds out now.

One thing that did help me a lot, was the Army. They make you pay attention, be on time for everything and calm down. They force you to get your self right.

Contrary to popular belief, you CAN join the Army if you have ADHD!
