Install the new rod after it has been cut to the round marks made on the burn in rod. U may use the burn in rod again and cut it if you raise the temp to curie to remove the magnetic signature. Intall newly cut rod and burn in again to make the magnetic signature on the cut rod and presto, also make sure that that you do not change fuel or you ahve to change rod, it will not run as well for long times, for water it is a 3 inch rod!! Propane is 3inches as well oil is 8-10 inches. :P :)
Hello, I seen you have a nice geet reactor. I have some advice how to make it work the right way. At this point it needs a different rod that has not been ran with gas. The rod needs to have no magnetic field, use the welder to heat the rod to curie temp to remove a magnetic signature, then use a compass the outer pipe north is negative next one is posative and the geet rod is negative, then start burning in use only one kind of fuel mix 45 minutes, mark rod do not cut it make another that size-
Geet has been proven to just force an engine to run leaner with ruduced power but not overheat like an engine would normaly do while running lean.

Well if you heated the rod up it would not get rid of "magnetic signiture" If anything youd need to try annealing.
