This is just the best ever live Japan track I've seen and I viewed it on TOGWT all those years ago and have lost track of how many times I've seen it since. Awsome! They all look so cool too.
I also feel I have to mention how sad I was to hear about Mick passing away earlier this week. It's hard to think he's gone for good :( As a personal tribute I'm going to spend the evening on here viewing Japan/Karn clips - any excuse!
i hear japan and thought i know that they didnt want to becme worl;d wide huge i still dont understand why they were not more popular than they were because they were LEAGUES ahead of everyone....Mick karn is sick...it makes me so sad...i dunno i just dont understand why crap music is milked and pushed on us when this stuff what brilliant..and how they didnt get seeped out by a clever DJ or some one else i dont know..again i knw they didnt want to be mega stars, but how they were not bigger, wow
@sprintbass They were extremely popular for a brief couple of years, with the underground, electronic, and college radio station crowds. "Gentlemen Take Polaroids" was a "hit". They influenced a lot of music that came after.

I love this stuff. The UK music industry used to cater for creativity & originality. That ain't the case in these post-Simon Cowell days!

This is included in sound track to every party I host - even now.
1st party I hosted also had "A Forest" by The Cure on high rotation and a room full of newspaper trees. - those were the days.
