I used to listen to this song with My Mom and family at Christmas time and then I began singing it to my boys when they were little. It was one they requested every night, not just at Christmas time. Beautiful.

It's silly, but I have such great memories of singing this song in school every year in music class up until 5th grade, we all loved this song and looked forward to singing it when winter rolled around!

My husband used to sing this song to our daughter when she was little only he changed it from little boy to little girl. It brings a tear to my eye and a smile to my face every time I hear it. It's a good song to grow up with and hopefully when my daughter and son-in-law has a child of their own she will sing it to him/her.

My grandson, who is 5, was sad to be excluded from his school's Christmas concert because he missed most of the practices due to his Special Needs schedule . To humour him they said he could sing a song of his choice at one practice. A teacher played the paino and he stood up alone in front of the whole auditorium and, without rehearsal and to everyone's surprise, sang this song so perfectly that people came in from outside to see who the amazing "Kindergarten Idol" was. @bnbskaggs good luck to your son! I hope that his child gets to have this wonderful tradition continued! I sang this in honor of my grandpa about four months before he passed away and it always makes me cry to listen to it, but they're tears of joy because he always asked to listen to it when he woke up in the morning and he would tap his toes along with it even though he couldn't talk. I miss him dearly and am grateful to have made his last days happy! Good luck being a grandparent!

Everyone may think I am really dumb for this, but compared to all the other versions of this song, there is something special about this one. Maybe its my own memories, maybe its all the pain and loss I have endured, but the Glen Campbell sings just seems so sad. Like he is looking back on something he can never have again. This song moves me very deeply and I don't think I will ever know why.
