  • When i take long exposure pictures i get to much noise. I use 5s / f4.5 / 200iso. Any suggestions ?

  • hi there you can make video of the setting for night photos tho photos are nice

  • @antonycancel Results will vary depending on what you are trying to take.

  • I'm going to get the D5000 for christmas. Amasing pics! I like using slow shutter speeds on passing cars

  • The photo at 0:55 is amazing. What kind of lense did you use. and what kind of settings did you use? I take all the advise i get ..

  • @ThePurpleRay Thank you .I used the standard 18-55mm Nikkor Lens. I was in SHUTTER SPEED mode when taking that shot, I had to also increase the ISO and I used a few techiniques of my own.

  • @ Hazardteamck Thank you for responding so fast. I think I'm going to try this on the aurora polaris ( northen light ) tonight. It is so beautiful and it deserve to be captured on a photo. :)

  • @ThePurpleRay No problem. I always check my email and it lets me know when there is a new comment. Make a video, I look foward to seeing it if you wanna post it.

  • Nice pics..cant wait to start getting good pics im new to photography so im still learning but thats what makes good shots... I wanna get the 35mm f1.8 lens i heard its a great lens to have.. I got the kit along with the 55-200 but I want something also to take macro shots.

  • @steve702 The macro lenses can be quite expensive. I've heard Sigma Nikon Mount Macro Lenses are not bad.

  • @Hazardteamck... what setting (and lens) did you use to get that shot of the moon at the beging of your video? I have been trying to get a good shot of the moon but could never get the settings...

  • @kaleihiwalani I used a fast shutter speed (like 1/250) and I opened my aperture all the way to like 3.4. The reason for the fast shutter speed is because the light from the moon over exposes the picture so you cannot see the details on it, thats why I use a fast shutter speed. And leave your ISO at 200 or below.

  • @Hazardteamck Thank you so much, I will try it with the coming of our full moon next week... as for lens, did you use a 70-300mm 1:4.5.6?

  • @kaleihiwalani Those values I gave you are only an estimate. You may need to tweek a the aperture and shutter speed. I used my Nikkor 55mm-200mm VR lens to get that shot. I had to crop the image but with full 12 megapixels, it looks very clear.

  • Hey im a longtime subscriber could you do some technique videos it would be good to learn, i can take fairly nice pictures already but i want to know how others take great pictures like you. Thanks

  • @surfmaster92 Thank you. Yes I can assure you I will have some videos up that will demonstrate more features in the Nikon D5000. I have just been very busy and have been unable to make videos.

  • Great pictures!!!

I just recently got the D5000 and I'm trying to learn about the DSLR world. Do you have any tips or tricks with using the D 5000?

  • @darvenung Thank you and welcome to the DSLR world. I do not have a tips and tricks video up yet. I have been very busy recently but I will have a lot of free time now so I will try to put one up just for you! If you have anymore questions, just simpy reply!

  • @Hazardteamck Thanks so much! I'm looking forward to the video!
