@Aldantonio18 Thank you so much for the encouraging words. All the very best to you. Oh yeah Billy & Sarah were two of my most favorite hero's, and Gina is like a sister to me, I just love her!. Elmer Hopper
10/10/11 I JUST DISCOVERED THIS BEAUTIFUL RENDITION OF BILLY'S DAUGHTER SINGING THE VERY SONG I ADORE OF HER FATHER WITH SARA VAUGHN. THANK YOU FOR POSTING. roselli
PS. Oh, and I forgot to say ... I saw him live in London at the famous Ronnie Scott's club in about 84/85. I sing myself and can be a terrible parrot, so occasionally I have to shake your pappy out of my feathers. No one needs poor man's Billy Eckstines when they're so much of him still out there!
Lovely to see this ... when I was a kid I picked out a LP from my Dad's record collection and began playing it. It was your marvellous father at Basin Street East with the band arranged and conducted by Quincy Jones. I now have that record on CD and thirty-five years on I still play it regularly. The thing about Billy Eckstine was that he was such an intelligent and intuitive singer of a lyric. As with Sinatra he had a screenplay running in his mind while he sang.
Awesome pairing here ... both are super-talented vocalists!
