The video should have been a minute longer for the key payoff scene which holds so much power...all the way to "The general says you're something special"
Here is the little secret, guys and gals, to my mind. In the scientific-human relations paradigm, the most effective position to take is 9, 9 , ie., 9 out of 10 in scientific. 9 out of 10 in Human Relations. Do it and see the world singing and changing around ye. You'll go quite a few places. And realize you did and do live your life. Possessed You shall be, Every Moment , in Intensity and Passion.
Great movie - Flew two B-17 bomber missions with a damaged back. The overall mission was so important that his pain became secondary. Hard to understand today, but in WW 2 most everyone were making sacrifices. Me first stuff did not exist. My father a WW 2 Army Air Corp Captain rarely spoke about the war. A GREAT GENERATION!
This scene between Savage (Peck) and Gately (Marlowe) is special in the movie. It shows how great character development and story line are crucial to a great movie. When Savage first met Gately, he reemed him out and demoted him, calling him a coward. In this scene, Savage realizes that Gately isn't a coward and would rather suffer intense pain than not live up to the standard Savage pushed him to reach. Savage is a great commanding officer, because he cares about and respects his men.

The part right after this was great as well, the nurse comes in and apparently has been told to take "special" care of Ben. lol
