The US suffers from extreme conservatism. You will invoke your own downfall on worldstage in due time because of that. The US body of thought is so full of preconceived opinions and antipathy towards new ideas that you somehow are very similar to the regimes of the "axis of evil". It may sound conflicting but there are more similarities than you realise or even want to know. The US is not ready at all for democratic reforms

Here is the worst part. All these poor suckers were forced to buy health insurance, but guess what, There is not enough doctors to see them. It can take weeks to months to see a primary care doctor now.
How useless, you forced all these people to buy healthcare that they don't even have access to!!!

@eisen2112 So, you're saying that there shouldn't be health care for the poor because we don't have enough doctors to see them? You're basically saying that we have to choose a group of people, and tell them there is only enough room for a select few to recieve health care, and everybody else is S.O.L. And we decide who doesn't get to be in the 'club' based on economic status. How about you be the first to drop your coverage so somebody else can be covered. If you can't, don't tell them to.

It shouldn't be forced to buy health insurance, but I can see where they are coming from. For too long, too many people have not taken personal responsibility to buy their own insurance which rips open the pockets of you and I to pay for them. With a mandate, it guarantees everyone pays their fair share.

Another fine example of government parenting telling you what's best for you. I dont support people running up a hospital bill and refusing to pay up, but I certainly think that penalty for being poor is bull shit. Romney really fucked up. We have car insurance, rent, student loans, and plenty of other shit to pay for. We work 9 to 5 and some of us arent lucky enough to receive health, dental, and 401K!

This plan charges poor people for being poor, the subsidies are NOT effective as they claim, it is simply a lie. This plan puts millions and millions of dollars into the pockets of private insurance companies by REQUIRING everyone to purchase coverage or face a fine via your state tax return.

The plan is not affordable. There is a small window above the poverty line in which you qualify for reduced rates. My wife and I make just a little too much money to be considered poor, so we don't qualify for any subsidies. Too bad - the state legislature has simply decided for us that we can afford what they say we can.

it's impossible to get and it's not affordable
it taxes the poor to make affordable for the middleclass
further more my work gives me paper work say july 24 that says this needs to be filled out and returned by july 20
