  • Great film...please post the film?

  • Jean Harlow was the pioneer for blonde bombshells of cinema.

Jean Harlow may not have been around that long as a actress, yet it was long enough to become famous and a sex symbol.

Jean Harlow did well for herself. No matter how old Jean Harlow's movies get, they will never be forgotten. Jean Harlow will always be remembered.

I wonder if Marilyn Monroe ever copied Jean Harlow?

  • clark was so hot!

  • Good grief. The way he looks at her and pulls her down to him gets me all hot and bothered.

  • the look gable gives harlow when shes humming the tune is priceless

  • "I'm not interested in cheese!" That line kills me every time I hear it for some reason...those two are too funny.

  • I enjoyed the clip.

    ------Ellen

  • Gosh how lovely is Jean Harlow - wow

  • "...and do you always shout your face off that way" LOL. Magical chemistry.

  • i suppose, clark gable is the only man who is attractive enough to get away with such relentless swaggery.

  • Where is the DVD of this film? ("Hold Your Man", The Secret Six" and "Saratoga" need to be released on DVD as well). We need more Gable/Harlow chemistry!

  • @Muirmaiden SERIOUSLY!!!

  • Thank you for posting this movie. It is one of the best of the pre-code movies. Harlow and Gable's chemistry steams up the screen. Mary Astor is rather sultry in her own right. A very provocative movie with witty dialogue. I've been looking for a DVD copy to replace my VHS tape.

  • I love this movie and I love Clark and Jean! a very good movie! Jean is so cute! I love this girl!

  • I bet the one person who "dislike"-ed is a Joan Crawford fan :)

  • "Red Dust", template for "Mogambo" about 20 years later, but I prefer "Red Dust", because Clark Gable is still young and still awfully good-looking ( still good-looking 20 years later, but as a middle-aged man then...). For me, as a man, I admire Clark for his looks, his voice, his manner, his way with women....must have been nice to be admired by men and loved by women, the way he was...

  • Thanks so much for uploading this awesome movie!

  • I love this<333

  • Ahaha, oh man, the dialogue is great :D

Clark and Jean are one of my favorite on screen couples :]

  • Back in those days, they were called 'MOVIES'..!

  • thAT WAS AWESOME

  • i want to see this

  • she had such good timing ..she must have bin like that in real life too

  • I mention Gable and Harlow in The celebrity song.

  • where can i find this film? it's been one of my favorites since i was a kid. the reason why it's not reissued all the time must be the magic between gable and harlow would but modern movie romantic couples to shame. sixty years later it's obvious why clark gable was called the king of hollywood...and that cute little jean harlow was was a star from the first film she made. now, i gotta go and try and track 'red dust down' on the internet...

  • @locitylar - try ioffer

  • watchitatbigmanonmgmlot

  • NICE LIGHTHEARTED LITTLE FELLOW IS'T HE!! haha!!! Jean was witty and funny!!she had More Depth than Marilyn!!!

  • @theatre2film:

Thanks so much for your kind answer:

I love this movie. I'm glad to have quite a decent copy...

Esp. since YT disabled the full movie once again...which I consider an outcrying shame.. Imo this movie is both Hollywood and American heritage.

And imo as many ppl as possible oughta be able to watch it.

    Greetings!

  • Sorry for all these deleted comments.

YT first didn't post my comment...and hours later they posted it 3 times...

  • What a shame..YT disabled the full movie some days ago !!!

  • Imo one of the best movies ever..and not just because it was a pre-code.

  • Looking like that it's hard imagine her as a the Saigon whore she's supposed to be in the film. I really enjoy the verbal exchanges between her and Gable.

  • Great film! This movie made Jean!! I love Gable & Harlow together. This movie was risque` back in 1932...could ya believe it...after what is out today!!

  • Sweet Jean Harlow was the cutest actress! It's unfortunate she past away before she was 30 years old. RIP sweet Jean.

  • Yes, but remember she was in the hands of the best of her day. Clark Gable and Billy Powell, cried their eyes out, when she died. Don't let the lesson be forgotten. I'm a fifty-old fault old fart who convinced my generations to deny her the killer weed. It flatters me to think that she, billy and Clark might have made a difference, back in the day.

I coaxed her into hanging on a few more days.

  • Red Dust is an EXCELLENT movie, impossible to find though. Plus, no one who doesn't love old movies has never heard of it.

Gable and Harlow were brilliant in this

  • They were all so lucky and they all knew it.

  • This is so cute!

    love them<3

  • Dammit, where's that boxed set of Jean's films that's been in the works for years?

  • Seriously!!!

  • FYI rebrammer, lots of girls didn't wear bras in the thirties. If that was all Harlow had to offer she wouldn't have become a great star and an enduring legend. She was disrespected in life from people like you and I guess it continues...

  • eat your din-din, fred.

  • Don't mind me boys ... I'm just restless.

  • Aah, they were such good friends weren't they?

  • they both were sexy even today..

  • Clark Gable is so sexy to me. I like it when men get a little aggressive. LOL

  • @MaraZys LOL I KNOW RIGHT, TO YOU ME AND EVERY OTHER RED BLOODED WOMAN WITH GOOD TASTE IN MEN.

  • i love clark gable and jean harlow. they were amazing.

  • i like this more than 'mogambo'

clark gable is such a great actor! (and a hottie!)

  • This movie needs to come out on DVD NOW!!!

  • Seriously!!! This is my favorite pairing of Gable and Harlow, and it's no where near being released.

  • @theatre2film I had a VHS copy some 10 years ago. So the film is in a vault somewhere available to be released.

  • @xmenrus Fingers crossed.

  • El pobre Lorro ! What did the parrot say lonilet or lonely! ?

  • Jean was such a loveable smart alec, love the way she speaks, not affected no nonsense yet you have to love her...

  • "If it was the summer of 1894, I'd play games with you, sister."

    LOL

  • Red Dust is on tv now and it is awesome!!!

  • There's a hilarious part in the movie where the newly weds go to their room and the groom says: "Do you think we can stand this bed?" , and the bride replies: "Who else is going to?". And then Clark Gable walks in...

  • I fall in love with Jean Harlow every time I see her

  • I love clark gable.......but I love cheese more.

btw what is that song jean hums around 2:40?

it's the doorbell song at this coffee shop i go to and i've always wondered what it was. :|

  • Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home...I'm sure that's the lyric and may be the name of the song.

  • You've never heard "Be it ever so humble/There's no place like home"???

  • I love this movie-thanks so much for posting this awesome footage! Ms. Harlow had such beautiful style and sex appeal!
