He's a good public speaker, no doubt, but he talks a lot of the time as though he's not wearing a mic at times when it's not called for, and pauses / emphasizes in weird places. Maybe it's just my speech class talking, but that bothers me... It makes the speech sound scripted and uncomfortable.

Maybe you guys don't believe in yourself enough to see the positive in his words. He memorizes and has great interaction with his audience. This young man has a great gift of communication! I love this message! He's right--people need to believe in students' ability to learn and students need to believe in their own ability, and then they all need to work together to help a student accomplish as possible before the student goes on to the next stage of life. This really needs to be a community effort, though. The environment of learning and living and growing does not just happen within the walls of a school.

Truly a passionate young person. It's people like this who grow up to become the leaders that we need in this world. I am passionate about teaching students to become passionate leaders. It will be guaranteed that there will be a lot of criticism when you step out of the norm, but don't let that put you off.
As a Future Educational Assistant, i believe this message is a stong and powerful message that should be spread around the world. With out modivation, positive influence, and detemination anything is possible. We as educators get the privilage to teach some of the futures smartest people. I think it's awesome that this kid got up and had such a great speech. As a teacher, I know that it's a very hard, demanding job, and it's so nice to feel appreciated! We know we're making a difference, but to hear it from a kid is so rewarding. Thanks, Dalton! No matter what level a child is at, whether they are top of the class or just trying to pass, each child has a purpose for their lives and we need to remember that!

It was when I first watched this video that I questioned whether or not I should be teaching. I looked at my fellow teachers; their faces were filled with smiles, and were totally hypnotized by this kid's speech. I, however, had to keep myself from puking.

I think it's awesome that this kid got up and had such a great speech. As a teacher, I know that it's a very hard, demanding job, and it's so nice to feel appreciated! We know we're making a difference, but to hear it from a kid is so rewarding. Thanks, Dalton! No matter what level a child is at, whether they are top of the class or just trying to pass, each child has a purpose for their lives and we need to remember that!

This kid is speaking a powerful truth here we need to heed. Many of us HAVE lost faith in the younger generation, and for valid reasons. But this young man is full of inspiration and promise to young and old alike. It takes a LOT of nerve to speak this boldly in front of so many. I admire him and appreciate what he has to say. "We need you" is a cry of truth. This young man is awesome.

Is not it incredible that a 10-year knejt / boy dares stand and speak so to so great an assembly without fear. ? Think of how hard we sometimes have summer by saying two words when we need to keep speaking to such weddings. There's an important message to the boy says. They don't wake up in the morning and say "I don't want to learn," they are dealing with extreme circumstances that hinders them from learning. He did a great job!!!!!! Good for him.

It was when I first watched this video that I questioned whether or not I should be teaching. I looked at my fellow teachers; their faces were filled with smiles, and were totally hypnotized by this kid's speech. I, however, had to keep myself from puking.
This kid definitely has a bright future in public speaking, but the content...the content feels like it was written by the administration. It sounded sickeningly like what we hear at countless PDs. This aimless, "do you believe in me" crap...
