  • That was awesome!! do someone know if it`s possible to buy distress inc in Norway?

  • @cickazzable ink * :p

  • Excellent tutorial! You explain it so well!!

  • I need distress inks! I'm dieting from all these awesome techniques that I can't do! But still love your idea

  • wow. this is different than I've seen before with all the other distress ink vids out there. never used a paint brush to apply it... I've now used a Q-tip to apply the ink, and it gives it a scribbled crayon looking like effect.. pretty kewl.

i love this look though. wow. will have to try it now

  • Hi I'm starting to buy some distress ink and so far I got vintage photo and wild honey.

What are you top 5 most used or most favorite colors. it would really help me out when choosing colors!

    thanks,

    Serena

  • Good stuff, thanks for sharing.

  • great technique.. :-)

    thnx 2 sharing...

  • Great technique!! Thanks for sharing it!

  • What a great technique. You are a teriffic teacher. Penny

  • Does it work on photo papers??

  • Thanks for sharing this technique it is an awesome look!

  • brilliant video thanks!! hahaha, i'm the same... cant decide... pick a colour and then end up with a completely different one ;o)

  • My husband is going to be upset with me because I went on his account, and I'm sure this will pop up on his watched videos, but Thank you so much for some reason I thought distressing was complicated but you made it look really easy. Thank you

  • Wow, Marion, this was soooo helpful. I have all these Distress Inks sitting around unused -- now I know what to do with them. Thanks!

  • could u use water colored paints for the "ink" i dont own much for scrap booking and have just started to collect supplies and I wanna start getting into it in a more intense way (supplies, techinques etc) let me know of some cheaper tips and alternatives please!!!

  • Thank you for sharing this! I am new with the scrapbooking and it was great to see your technique.

    Cheers from Australia!

  • Awesome!! Thanks for the idea of using the distressed ink another way!!!!

  • WOW! Thanks so much for sharing, I always wanted to use distress inks but was too afraid to mess it up. I ink my edges all the time and I love the look, but I am going to try distressing. Thanks again!

  • You are so welcome! This way is much cleaner I think, plus you end up using less ink. My ink pads have lasted forever, I bought the refill bottles and still have yet to use them. I've had my pads over a year and I use them all the time.

  • Marion, do you have to spray the antique papers with an archival spray to make it acid free? Or does the distress ink take care of that for you. Beautiful technique btw. :)

  • Yes you should spray them with archival spray if you want your great, great, great, great grandkids to see your pictures without them turning yellow lol. To be honest I don't use it because by the time the acid effects the photos I'll be long past dead and the people who look at them won't have a clue who I am anyway. most people try to get that look anyway? lol

  • omg !!!! i got my first distressd ink pad n i totally did it wrong compared to wat ur doing....i think i need to smudge it again with water....

  • Thank you so much for showing us how to do this. What was the name of the brush you used????

  • Thank you!! It's a studio brush by Claudine Hellmuth from Ranger

  • tfs! i usually do the distress with a dauber, I like this technique a lot! I've never tried it like that, I will soon!

  • Thanks for sharing! Really, really nice... I love the mini album!!!

What are the names of the brown and the blue Ranger inks? Thanks again!

  • The brown was Brushed Corduroy and the blue was broken china. I Love both of them!

  • wow such a neat technique thanx so much for sharing this

  • Love it!! Gonna try it

  • hi i was wondering if u could use any other inks (pigment, chalk, dye) for this technique?

  • Yes you can use all of those except chalk. With chalk you want to apply it with a brush the whole time instead of putting directly onto the edge of the page with the pad.

  • thanks!! :D love your projects!

  • Thanx so much, just what I needed!! Love your work!!

  • very nice, thanks
