The Soulless Necrons Pylon

What is it for? what it do? I've now seen two thing new thing that I don't what they are.

@ldjaxx The Pylon is a Forge World model that now uses the rules in the Apocalypse rule book. It can deep strike and has a weapon simular to the Monolith but with a longer range, and It is a War Machine with structure points that makes it more difficult to destroy. I am hoping it will be in the new Dex, but who knows?

@kingsting12 In my Codex it say's under the Introduction, in the first paragraph of "The Necrons" "Thousands of immortal, soulless warriors have risen!" That's where I got the name from! It was just a name for my army, beats my original name of Nick's Necrons!

@IDICBeer According to the lore they weren't Soulless from the start. Well, It depends on the way you look at a soul... The C'tans Never took their souls but as I said befour. After Being ressurected 10000 times Your mind/Soul is quite torn apart... Depends on the way you look at it. But anyway ( Talking about necron ) The necron REALLY Needs a new codex. The old one doesn't work :(

i started 40k last year as the necrons and i still don't know what the pylon does.

@ifartinurdirection1 The Pylon provides close shield cover against all shades of grief fired by enemies for a squad, other than that they'er pretty much Howitzer cannons of the 40K universe, smashing through tanks, air craft and space ships. Two types of fire power, Gaus cannon and Gauss arc-wave. Being made just like a Necron you can exploit the I'll Be Back Rule or teleport around and pound enemies in to oblivion.

can u make your own characters in Chapter Approved?

It tells you how to make your own "War Machine" and how to work out the points for the stats you give it! Works very well for a Nid MC. I made a basic one with 1 Structure point for about 200 points just for fun! and a nastier one for about 500 points :-)

aaah cool, i was wanting to make some special stats for my Tau Commander. I will have to try and find a chapter approved. Is it completely game/tournament legal?

I don't know about tounaments as I don't play them, but as long as your apponent does not object then why not! You will need the 2001 edition with the blacked out ork logo cover.

BTW You will only be able to make a War Machine (vehicle) and not a Special Character). I suppose it is different for Nids as they don't have vehicles :-)

i just got mine in the mail today the resin is a bitch to saw off. and some of the stuff it bent dang forgeworld still its an awsome model and well worth the hassle

Nice one, don't forget if you put the resin in hot water for a few minutes you can bend it, but be very careful not to snap it

No spray gun, I just dry brushed it my usual Necron colours of GW Chainmail then Methril Silver

Yeah, it was a bit of a pain, I even had to take a saw to one section, but overall not that difficult and lots of fun.
