  • UPDATE: The Daniel's Head Cape Islander mold has been sold. The building and property is now up for sale. The Novi Scooter mold is also for sale.

  • Thanks, jemmans.

  • good video, well presented

  • Can the boat builders build a larger old fashion trawler sailing type vessel? That would be a long term dream of mine... To own and operate a big, beautiful Frigate type vessel! I saw them build the 'Louse McClure' in Vermont[where i lived @d the time], a replica schooner used for trade on the Hudson River through out the industrial ages! It's a long an thin vessel with large storage capacity. Plus they did it w/o the compliments of a boathouse. Quite extraordinary indeed!

  • I'm not sure. I'll pass your comment onto the company owner. Thanks for the comment!

  • @NestleQuic well im pretty sure they would have to make a mold for it and that might cost alot of money i know i saw a mold for my boat which was a 44'11" by 15' go for 100 grand

  • @ledhead1000 The mold for the Cape Islander hull in this video is currently for sale on Kijiji dot ca for just $35000.00 Cdn. You can view this ad at kijiji by search for ads under the name 'shpshftr'.

  • @NestleQuic This company would not be able to do that but there are companies that, I'm sure, already build this type of vessel and can finish to your specifications.

  • @NestleQuic Don't worry about buying or building a mould. Go for the stitch and glue way of building, it's easy for a first time builder,is relatively cheap and you'll end up with a strong light durable vessel. Also if you damage it, it is easy to repair. theres plenty of designs/plans around to build from

  • That's fabulous - anyone who thinks building boat is cool task should visit splashvision . com, get the design for free and build it, for one of its cousins.

  • Thank you for your comment.
