@ alanwah no LEBRON was marketed way more than Jordan was this guy came from out of high school haven't even played an NBA game and signed a hundred million dollar shoe contract check your facts because obviously you don't know what you are talking about
The key thing we should take from this: When Jordan AND Pippen were on fire at the same time, there was nothing that could be done to shut down the Chicago Bulls. Both players could post great numbers singly in a game and still end up with a loss. But when the Lennon and McCartney of basketball were lit up, the game, as Chick Hearn would say, wwas "in the refrigerator".
@SaM9881000 I love you because unlike most MJ homers, you reckognize that Kobe is amazing... MJ just said a week ago that kobe was the only one to dserve a comparison to him. thanks!
This bulls team was damn good. Many people don't know how hard it is to go 72-10 during the regular season and 17-3 during the playoffs. What a season!
Anybody knows what was the name of Michael Jordan's Movie from when he was a kid and progressing through the years and showing when his father was killed?
One thing that also made MJ so special was his theatrics. Not only was he the best player ever but scenes like him laying on the floor with the ball at the end of the game just made him off the charts. He was God's gift to basketball fans. There will never be anyone remotely close to him.
@truthisbest I agree 100%-MJ would have been charge with whitchcraft if he played doning the Salem Witch hunt-and if america played basketball back then-the way his life went was almost Godlike-Amazing man-Amazing life!

@peto2827 You could not had said it any better.. he would had been cut down by way of lynching for being beyond human talent back in the day... I pay homage to his fathers grave here in Teachey, NC.. this game is true testament to sportsmanship of will.. the whole team and MJ to cap it off on fathers day.. his return was well complete...
@sl8ted yea...at sucking up to sponsors and being a corporate puppet. When it comes to basketball, LeBroke isn't even worthy of stepping into the same county where MJ is playing ball.
I feel so blessed to have been able to watch MJ in his prime but most specifically this game. To see him return to basketball and reclaim the championship on Father's Day finally culminating in an avalanche of visible emotion from Michael was incredible.
does anyone notice Jordan's different free throw shooting? Usually, he bounces--looking down at the ball. In this game, he's bouncing the ball while looking at the hoop. Check out years of other footage. He usually looks down while bouncing the ball. hmmmmmmmmm....?
@7csilva just wondering if he REALLY was focusing on every point/shot. not that he didn't. Just wondering if because of the moment (Father's Day and the physical absence of his father). @erickrealz before u got Ape s___ over what I'm saying of you look at MJ's numbers this series and what he's done in the Finals it was well under his norm, and actually take away his game 3 36pts he would've avg only 21pts per game for the Finals. The reason I say Rodman because of his dominance on the boards throughout this series and his lowest reb game was game 3 when MJ had his monster (go figure) I mean don't get me wrong MJ is the greatest of all time and I'm a Chi town fan for life but l
Here's what I think: Any video posted on this website dedicated to Michael 'Air' Jeffrey Jordan and his game should NOT, I repeat, SHOULD NOT, have a 'dislike' button!!
I knew when I was growing up watching Michael, I was watching something special. But, for some reason, I feel like I didn't appreciate him enough. I remember seeing him destroy defenses and get to the rim at will and not really understand how he made something so difficult look easy. When he left, and I saw all this garbage play and the NBA change rules to make scoring easier, I began to understand the impact he had.
KUKOC had the knack for hitting big time shots...he hit SHOTS......I'm a laker fan, but I must say it was a joy watching this bulls team play during 95-96, Jordan returned back to his pre-eminence as the game's best player, scottie was the ultimate facilatator........but I always felt DENNIS RODMAN was the real mvp of these finals, he won two games himself w/his hustle, defense, intensity, and energy
I was never a Bulls fan, but I had a great appreciation for Jordan's performances. Man, watching that guy play was like watching a God. He was the perfect athlete!
Why doesn't wilt chamberlain get acknowledged he has better stats then Michael Jordan he just didn't win as many championships but that's just because he had to play against like the celtics of those days he averaged 22 rebaounds and 31 points Jordan averaged only like 5 rebounds wilt also has the 100 point game and the 4000 point season
@TheEanRossShow1 It's like comparing the speed of a train in it's day compared to the speed of a supersonic jet now. Wilt Chamberlain played in a completely different era and his stats are hard to take seriously. Just look at his later year stats, they were complete garbage.
@TheEanRossShow1 wilt chamberlain isn't acknowledged as much because it was long before MJ's time but more importantly there weren't as many regulations then as there are today. For example, there was no such thing as offensive goaltending or three seconds.Wilt would just camp in the lane for however long he wanted and just grab every rebound. And if u look at old tapes, he would also grab his teammates shots as they were heading towards the basket and lay them in, scoring the maj. of his pts.
I'll never forget this game this is the game the world learned that the greatest player was just a human as the rest of us and he was a son missing his father
Been a Bulls fan all my life, but it woulda been really nice to see Payton and Kemp get a ring. Too bad they had to run into the Bulls. Such a good series, Ive never seen Michael so frustrated in my life.

@xIISuPeRMaN in my opinion scottie pippen at his best is better than larry bird. I never really got to see larry bird play but, the little bit that i have seen Scottie Pippen is more impressive.
@moneyman237952 Scottie Pippen is a better All Round Defender But the way Larry would run his team was outstanding . Also had a amazing shooting stroke but then again we never got to see Pippen be the man of a team and run it .
@moneyman237952 Pippen was a Great Defender . But the way Larry would run his team was amazing . He also had a great Shooting Stroke . You gotta watch Larry vs. Magic .
i can't believe they bash kobe for having a bad game 7 and jordan gets praised for having a bad game 6 jordan was 5-19 and people act like he went 15-20 at least kobe grabbed 15 reb and chased every loose ball and jordan was horrible in the series against seattle and still got the finals mvp so for all those saying kobe doesn't deserve the finals mvp against boston than you should also say jordan didn't deserve the 1996 finals mvp
@agentnono24 Jordan also nearly triple doubled this game, and kicked ass through the other games. If anything, Artest was the MVP because he basically averaged higher than Kobe in about everything in the last few games.
Pippen led the playoffs in drating this season...I can't believe the media gave the DPOY award to that fool Payton over him...what a joke...he got screwed the previous year too when they gave it to Mutombo instead of him when he was the only perimeter player to EVER lead the league in the regular season in drating.
@Barstool33Blues The three best defenders in the Nba all played for this team. Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman. This was probably the greatest team in NBA history.
I wouldn't go that far...the two greatest defensive players over the last 30 years are Hakeem Olajuwon and David Robinson (who led the league in drating in 96...Drob...really he should have been DPOY if you were going by impact defensively in the league), and in 96 they were probably still the most important defensive players in the league...Drob for sure.
@BarstoolBlues33 you're an idiot. How many championships did d rob win? he was a great defensive players but, not as good as Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen, and Michael Jordan. These players were definately the best. I'm done discussing this with you because we are dead locked in our beliefs and you will never be able to convince me otherwise. So get on with you life and leave me alone.
@Rza06 Theyre both top 5 SF's of all time in my book, but u must ask yourself this: Would Scottie Pippen achieve superstar status if he never played alongside the greatest of all time? Larry Bird would have been a superstar even if he never played for the Celtics. They both have advantages over each other but I think Bird was the better overall player and has the more impressive resume.
really are some of yall serious. No offence to anyone but how was the league watered down back in those days there was still alot of great players on other teams. For you to say it was watered down is funny. Now comparing The league now to back in the 90's i'd say the league is watered down now. the game of basketball was more physical in the 90's Nowadays it seems if u cough its a foul
@spanishjose302 Dominique Wilkins, Julius Erving, Elgin Baylor, John Havlicek, Larry Bird, and Lebron James are all better than Pippin......Can't argue your other two points, Jordan is the goat and Rodman was the biggest beast on the boards
@spanishjose302 Jordan struggled mightily when George Karl finally switched the smaller Payton onto him. No doubt Jordan was way ahead of his time, but I don't think his overall ability (think passing/rebounding) matches that of LeBron James. You need multiple great players to win championships (as the Bulls helped prove). LeBron took worse teams further than Jordan did pre-Pippen/Grant/Rodman,etc. James' ridiculously high basketball IQ distinguishes him (even if he lacks sense off the court)
You can't say you're a man unless that moment makes you tear up.

if lebron played in this era he would never get a dunk off. this is when the nba was real and not ticky tack and plain tacky.

i can't believe they bash kobe for having a bad game 7 and jordan gets praised for having a bad game 6 jordan was 5-19 and people act like he went 15-20 at least kobe grabbed 15 reb and chased every loose ball and jordan was horrible in the series against seattle and still got the finals mvp so for all those saying kobe doesn't deserve the finals mvp against boston than you should also say jordan didn't deserve the 1996 finals mvp
agentnono24 1 year ago
@agentnono24 Jordan also nearly triple doubled this game, and kicked ass through the other games. If anything, Artest was the MVP because he basically averaged higher than Kobe in about everything in the last few games.

Pippen led the playoffs in drating this season...I can't believe the media gave the DPOY award to that fool Payton over him...what a joke...he got screwed the previous year too when they gave it to Mutombo instead of him when he was the only perimeter player to EVER lead the league in the regular season in drating.
Barstool33Blues 1 year ago
@Barstool33Blues The three best defenders in the Nba all played for this team. Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman. This was probably the greatest team in NBA history.
moneyman237952 1 year ago
@moneyman237952
BarstoolBlues33 1 year ago
@BarstoolBlues33 i disagree
moneyman237952 1 year ago
@moneyman237952
Well you no nothing about basketball if you disagree that Dream and Drob were the two most important defensive players of the last 30 years...
BarstoolBlues33 1 year ago
@moneyman237952
Hakeem Olajuwon especially is EASILY the GREATEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER of the last 30 years...there is no question about that.
BarstoolBlues33 1 year ago
@BarstoolBlues33 you're an idiot. How many championships did d rob win? he was a great defensive players but, not as good as Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen, and Michael Jordan. These players were definately the best. I'm done discussing this with you because we are dead locked in our beliefs and you will never be able to convince me otherwise. So get on with you life and leave me alone.

@spanishjose302 yeah jordans the greatest of all time, but bird is better than pippen, and chamberlain and russell were better than rodman.
BiggerThanTheDevil88 1 year ago
@spanishjose302 Did u just say that Pippen was a better SF than Larry Bird?...
moneymarc03 1 year ago
@moneymarc03 its close u can debate for either one though bird is undeniably more clutch pippens defense is superior
Rza06 1 year ago
@Rza06 Theyre both top 5 SF's of all time in my book, but u must ask yourself this: Would Scottie Pippen achieve superstar status if he never played alongside the greatest of all time? Larry Bird would have been a superstar even if he never played for the Celtics. They both have advantages over each other but I think Bird was the better overall player and has the more impressive resume.
moneymarc03 1 year ago
really are some of yall serious.
Sevensignz1 1 year ago
@Sevensignz1 thats so true, i hate how the league is now. every feild goal ends up a foul.
Treportermusic 1 year ago
@spanishjose302 Dominique Wilkins, Julius Erving, Elgin Baylor, John Havlicek, Larry Bird, and Lebron James are all better than Pippin......Can't argue your other two points, Jordan is the goat and Rodman was the biggest beast on the boards
rlugo72 1 year ago
@spanishjose302 Jordan struggled mightily when George Karl finally switched the smaller Payton onto him. No doubt Jordan was way ahead of his time, but I don't think his overall ability (think passing/rebounding) matches that of LeBron James. You need multiple great players to win championships (as the Bulls helped prove). LeBron took worse teams further than Jordan did pre-Pippen/Grant/Rodman,etc. James' ridiculously high basketball IQ distinguishes him (even if he lacks sense off the court)
