You would want a 2.5 litre 1jzgte, because yes it is smaller than 3.0 litre 7mgte but it makes 280hp standard as opposed to 240 from the 7mgte. Also it can make up to 500hp at the wheels on stock internals whereas the 7mgte is notorious for blowing head gaskets ( even in stock form) bearing issues and is an altogether inferior engine.
But by all means you should have a 7m you deserve 1.
my 7m will make more power than your little 1j ever will. if u gonna go through all the hastle of doing a swap, just go 2j. and you dont have to ask muscle car guys bigger is better, even the silly honda boys can tell u that.
I've had both 7M and 1JZ -- up until 400 rwhp the 7M will make more power mod-for-mod, but it's hard to keep it reliable past that without doing a full build. 1JZ doesn't have the torque curve that 7M has, but it has a bigger power band, and a lot of people find it more fun to drive because the responsiveness makes the heavy-ass car feel lighter. You are right, 2JZ is better in every way, it's just a lot more expensive to go that route.
V8 eatting a 4 or 6 cycl it's normal but some time even v8 can get spank by 4 or 6cycl car too if you race a guy with thick wallet.The thicker you wallet the faster you can go rice or not and that's the fact.

only hondas have v-tec you jackass. only late model 2jz's have vvtl-i and it's constantly variable on the exhaust side. the lumpy idle is purely from aggressive cam profile.
similar in concept, but v-tec is much simpler. pretty much every major car manufacturer has some kind of variable cam timing/duration and lift system. my point was that toyota's current vvtl-i system is far more compicated than honda's v-tec system. the i v-tec system is closer but still not as advanced. must apologize for the jackass comment. i admit it wasn't necessary.

only hondas have v-tec you jackass. only late model 2jz's have vvtl-i and it's constantly variable on the exhaust side. the lumpy idle is purely from aggressive cam profile.

similar in concept, but v-tec is much simpler. pretty much every major car manufacturer has some kind of variable cam timing/duration and lift system. my point was that toyota's current vvtl-i system is far more compicated than honda's v-tec system. the i v-tec system is closer but still not as advanced. must apologize for the jackass comment. i admit it wasn't necessary.

evo youre an idiot. toyota did not copy vtec and no they are not the same thing. vtec kicks in only at certain rpms(usually 4-5k) whereas vvti works at all rpms(the moment you hit the gas). similar concept, but not the same thing.

dyno sheet to prove 350rw? i doubt you're over 300 unless you are spraying or have upgraded ct. and if u have either of those, well 350 is a small number and u need to get it tuned and up the boost because there is no setup on a 7m that can make 350, but cant make 400. stock ct's veiling is 300, once you change turbos 400 is a given. so where's the part where i dont know what im talking about? my 7m is fine and has never broken down, but how many others can say the same.

Most fo the stok turbo Supras can crush any "tuned" rice, and keep up with American Muscle. I know this because my friend was beaten by a turbo supra and thought it was me, But people, Supras arnt rice unless a moron gets one, and puts a giant spoiler on it, and puts a shitty paint job and decals all over it, most Supra owners are smart tho and know the power they have
