Then of course there is "telling an adult" which doesn't do shit half the time except make the bully angrier. It's really messed up that we have so much sympathy for bullies these days. My child was given a two day "vacation" for defending himself. It changed the situation around and there was no more problem with the bully..I also made sure the suspension was removed from the record since it was self defense and they remove it!
