  • Why does the snake sound like Winnie the Pooh to me..? He sounds EXACTLY like Pooh.

  • How could people dislike this? Talk about being redonkulous.

  • 4:41

When Shere Khan is smiling like that, that means you're in deep shit.

  • "Mowgli." - this sends shivers down my spine every time I see/hear it. Tony Jay has such a good, gravely voice. I am interested to get this film just because of Tony Jay giving Shere Khan his voice.

  • and the animation and john goodman

  • i always thought tony jay was the only good thing about jungle book 2

  • If you ask me, Tony Jay as Shere Khan was practically THE ONLY good part of that sequel. Casting him there was a stroke of genius - and about the only thing that made JB2 worth watching at all.

  • @The101stDalmatian Also Jim Cummings as Kaa was a great replacement. sounds almost IDENTICAL to Sterling Holloway

  • @TheBattousai6009 I know back when I was young and naive I actually thought it was the same person! Respect Jim Respect.

  • Kaa sounds like Winnie the Pooh.. it's probably the same voice actor..

  • @GrowingObsession He is.

  • Casting Jim Cummings was a great idea. All he had to do was use his Pooh voice since Sterling Halloway was the original voice and he voiced Pooh as well.

  • His voice is so sinister....

    I fuckin' love it

  • Tony Jay's voice is absolutely irreplaceable. ;~;

  • If you can't get enough of Tony Jay, watch the game videos of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2 and LoK: Defiance.

  • "That snake...LIED to me"

  • That voice is so sexy O_O

  • The only worthy successor to George Sanders.

  • A truly talented voice actor taken from us too soon.

  • SherKhan mannerisms remind me so much of Scar.

  • Tony Jay is the only redeeming quality of this movie.

  • I swear to the lord, one of those vultures sound like Ringo Starr!

  • @Gypsygirl2113 I think the one you're referring to is Jess Harnell, who did the voice for Wakko Warner from Animainiacs, which according to Harnell was also an impression of Ringo Starr :)

  • I searched U-Torrent for the Jungle Book 2

    No luck!

  • sexy. it's like sex in a bottle. it fits sherKhan so well.

  • Lol

Tiger tracks? in the jungle? that's insane

  • George Sanders and Tony Jay should meet

  • One of the vultures sound like yako.

  • Tony Jay was the best possible substitution for George Sanders

  • oh yah in the book, the animals destroy the village and kill everyone in it.

  • tony jay really did top the late great george sanders.

  • Frollo!

  • I normally don't like new voices of of classics such as The Jungle Book, but I like what Tony Jay did for Shere Khan. He kept him dark and even more vengeful in a way. He and Jim did a great job sounding liek the original voices yet also remained original otherwise. The movie on it's own wasn't really as great, but these two did well with what they got.

  • @balrog13571

oh and is it me or is one of the vultures voiced by phil collins?

  • @pixargod

Nope it's not just you. That is indeed Colliins.

  • @balrog13571

I wish that every time that phil collins came on in a film, I would play one of his songs.

  • Greatest VA of our time.

  • The snake from Jungle Book... is that Whinnie the Pooh?

  • @TheSecondInfinity ...funny you say that actually, cause they had the same voice actor...Jim Cummings. so yes it is winnie the pooh.

  • Wait, a half-naked boy, wearing nothing but his superman red (and unwashed) underwear, isn't in the least disturbing to a girl who just met him?

This is all despite the fact that this very sequel does not exist, and is only in the minds of Corporate Disney employs for the sole purpose of creating a wet dream that can temporarily satiate their big financial pockets.

I don't believe in any sequel that is based on material that is over 40 years old, and where all who worked on it are dead.

  • Rip Tony jay.

The many with the voice of a god.

  • Sora? o 3o

  • Yes indeedy

  • I can't help but find his dialogue with Kaa conveniently similar to Kresselack's.

  • Shere khan must be one of cinemas best villains.

  • What a magnificent voice this man has.

  • OMG MY NAME Is Tony JAY

  • He's got to have... MONNEEEEY

  • oh damn, he was in the Tom and Jerry movie?!

  • yep, X)

  • "Oh please, don't insult my intelligence. It makes me IRRITABLE"

  • Tony Jay has the most brilliant voice in the world!!! And he was absolutely brilliant as Sher Khan as well as Judge Claude Frollo!!! *SQUEAL*

His voice is sooo ultra sexy!!!!!!

    XDDD

  • Too bad he's dead. Died in 2007. I think it was cardiac arrest. Fellow was old. :(

  • @Andreazor HE DIED OF LUNG CANCER.

  • @xiondrac9800 Actually, he died of difficulties of surgery.

  • @gOtHiCxAnGeLxox i love shere khan TOO

  • @gOtHiCxAnGeLxox im with youu!!!!! i love shere khan!!!

  • i don't know.

    i didn't. i found the comment funny.

well, somebody must have disagreed with you.

anyway i don't think you should take it so personally. lool.

    cheer up!

  • ok

    sry 'bout that

i just almost think that i'm the only one thinking the things i write down

    i'm that about Tzekel-Khan and Snipe(SH)

  • Oh god Winnie the pooh's voice actor is Kaa..>XD

  • The only reason why I'd watch this movie is because of Tony Jay. No one can beat his evil voice, Not even Frank Welker

  • Comment removed

  • isnt it ironic that your name is lucky...... love his voice!!

  • another good scene with kaa and shere kahn

  • Tony Jay doesn't have to push his voice to make it creepy, sensual, vicious and sociopathic.

  • i could'nt agree more

he's already got that dark and terrifying tone

  • imagine making a phonecall a few years ago and hearing him say Hello! at the other end of the line... rip.

  • Oh my god!!! Can't belive that Tony Jay plays as a Tiger, and also a giant squid as a Elder God. This is fucking funny!!! Heh heh.

    R.I.P

  • The vultures sound like some mates of mine here in england, and the jokes are just as bad

  • I'm not sure if anyone else noticed, but the voice of the bird who teases Shere Kahn is the famous singer Phil Collins.

  • can anyone upload the hole movie or not

  • of course one could upload it all, but anyone'd rather not, cuz, you see, you tube is very strict with copyright and could suspend the account. search for it with utorrent, i'm sure you'll find it.

  • Tony Jay was amazing for Shere Kahn.

  • The more I hear Shere Khan/Tony Jay, the more I feel as if I'm Shere Khan myself...

  • I can't believe he's dead! Tony Jay was one of my fave VAs!

  • Tony Jay made Shere Khan incredibly threatining and vicious, maybe even more so than the George Sanders version.

"Isn't it ironic that your name is ... Lucky?"

    Ha. Awesome.

  • lol, when the coconut bounced off of Kaa's nose, it made the bounce sound I always heard in the New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

  • God bless that man.

  • love tony jay, he made the best villains ever. does anybody else think that the snake sounds suspiciously like winnie the pooh? i never noticed untill now.

  • Dude, thats exactly what I was thinking.

  • thats because kaas vioce sterling hallowway did pooh and chesher cat and like every other disney classic you can think of and the new vioce of pooh jim cummings did it for this one

  • "anyone i know" best quote ever

  • ah the golden era of drawn animations...i miss that...everythings CG now...kinda sux.

  • i love his expression at 4:42.

  • could you post the whole muvie

  • His face at 3:36....priceless....

  • I agree! he is all mad hahahahahaha and annoyed =)

  • Okay I am all confused I know the voices are not the original so someone tell me who is doing who or what arghhhhhhhhhhh lol.

  • Shere Khan has to be one of, if not the best Disney vilain of them all

  • and tony was what made him so fantastic

  • Thanx MonkeyMan767,I am so upset I didn't know he died. :-(,,,,,

  • yeah back in 2006 :( if you want to hear one of his best roles (IMO) play the legacy of kain series

  • "You let that tiger get his claws on you, and you won't BE so good-looking."

  • i love the jungle book 2. i think it was as good as the first one. shanti is so beautiful in this movie as well as in the first one!

  • the snake's voice is cute and shere khan's voice makes me wish i wish a she-tiger...purr.

  • Comment removed

  • sounds like scar from the lion king i know it isn't but .... RIP tony jay!

  • Yes I always thought that, but I think if this guy is still alive he is way older lol

  • unfortunatly he died a while back

  • Shere Khan just pwns...nuff said...

  • I MISS HIM SO MUCH.he is and always will be my fav voice actor his voice reminds me of my childhood becuase way back when i watched a show and it had his voice in it. omy gosh everytime i hear him im like "AHHH I KNOW THAT VOICE!HE ROX!"and i still do that to this day lol.and i had NO clue that the voice of pooh bear was in this movie!i never really got to watch this movie so i was like "OMY GOSH ITS POOH BEAR!AHHH I THOUGHT HE ONLY DID THE VOICE OF POOH BEAR AHHH!!"lol but still tony jay rox.

  • Was he the orange cat on Aristocats? I forgot the name of the character

  • R.I.P. Tony Jay......you had such an amazing voice...very haunting and unforgettable..

  • Is Kaa voiced by Jim Cummings? It certainly sounds like him. Well, actually it sounds like Jim Cummings doing Winnie the Pooh, but still...

  • Yes he is, he is good at imitating voices for roles like this. And Sterling Holloway did Kaa's and Winnie the Pooh's original voices. Interestingly enough Jim Cummings did Winnie's voice in both Kingdom Hearts games.

  • So it's Jim Cummings doing Sterling Holloway...very interesting.

  • Tony Jay has the most remarkable voice I've heard, But couldn't there be more to his memorial than just The Junglebook 2? ... I think he probably has more memorable work as well

  • does Tony Jay alway play Villains

  • not always but often.

  • like who did he play that wasn't a Villain

  • The Cheif from he 90's revival of secret squirrel ( was on the 2 stupid dogs cartoon) and Dr.Lipshitz on Rugrats. Also this one episode of Star Trek TNG he played a guy that wasnt bad. also i guess narration doesnt count but considering how much of a chracter the narrator was on Bards' Tale video game i would say that was also not a villanous role.

  • well you have a point there

  • He also played a voice to a dragon on some animated story called Dragonfriend. It was animated by Disney in the 90's.

  • never heard of it well i might have but its been a while since i have watch the show in the 90s

  • Tony Jay died in 1996

  • your kidding i thought he had died in 2006 it said so on Imdb

  • You're right, I meant 2006

  • is that Mia Whitman who does the Voice of katar in Avatar

  • My god I love Tony Jay's voice. The others sucked, but his...dear god.

  • tony jay my favorite actor my favorite charter he play as lord dregg from teenage mutant ninja turtles

  • OMG, THAT´S SORA´S VOICE!!!, yeyy

  • love the scene with Kaa, Jim Cummings and Tony are amazing together =D

  • it's my favourite part in the movie too. "anyone i know? i wish.. that ssssstupid man cub! man cub?" lol.

  • oh, and my favourite quote: "oh pls don't insult my inteligence. it makes me ... irritable" love it.

  • me too! I love how he says "irritable" that is awesome. and Kaa's so funny! "I'd take u there myself, but I'm afraid I'd slow you down....indigestion and all" XD

  • Although Tony Jay is gone, his great booming voice will never be forgotton. RIP

  • "Isn't it ironic that your name...is...Lucky?"

    Ahah. I love TJ's voice.

  • Disney sequels, even when the animation is among the highest quality (as per usual for Disney), are usually thoroughly unenjoyable, how on Earth they managed to rope Patrick Stewart in for Bambi 2 will haunt me till the day I die, but Jungle Book 2 was actually quite enjoyable.

  • As for Tony Jay? The man excels in any role he is given. The worst possible thing I can think of him being in... Oooh... A voice over for one of the infinity million awful Scooby Doo straight-to-video-and-UK Cartoon Network-parodies, Scooby Doo & the Arabian Knights. Even when in such abysmal settings the man delivers.

  • I'm losing track of myself here...Ahem

Being raised on Disney films, and remembering ancient childhood beliefs that Shere Khan is not only a malevolent force of primal savagery, but he will also kill you and everything else upon this world, it is great to see a voice as perfected as Jay's giving him some f*ckin authority.

    Thanks for the tribute series!

And sorry for this stupidly long post.

  • don't worry, i usually have such long posts! especially when i have something interesting to talk about. lol!

i thank you for liking my humble TJ mem. i try my best to post nice samples.

i haven't seen that scooby doo movie. i should check it. thanks for the idea!

i also liked Jungle book 2 and the Shere khan in it. well, of course it can't have the same artistic note as the 1st. it was WALT DISNEY who did it ! THE ORRIGINAL! but it's nice!

  • i believe you!

  • Wow, Tony back from TaleSpin. . . very cool. He always made Khan much more sinister. . .Like this time he isn't playing around- only a slight trace of that english "politeness" from the first movie.

And Phil Collins. . . hahaha that was neat.

  • his voice was wonderfully sinister! wasn't it? lol! and i knew almost nothing about him till i saw HOND. shame on me!

  • yeah, If you can, should post some clips of Tony Jay as Shere Khan in TaleSpin. . . Sinister, yet a snappy dresser. . .lol Oh, and thanks for posting this- I never saw this movie before. Again, it really is cool to see Jay back as Khan.

  • welcome! i only have to fix my Win movie maker which really kills me!

  • oh, dear. don't be so harsh. (it's true that about the only reason for which i watched the movie was TJ's voice) but, you know, i saw worse. a sequence to a very good movie can hardly be as good as the orriginal.

  • IMO, Khan wasn't as scary compared to the original JB movie, but Lord Tony made Khan soooo sexy for a long time.

  • agree in both aspects. "Lord Tony" this name sounds great ansd very appropriate too. ! RIP>

  • Hahah, hail Lord Tony! Has a nice ring to it.

  • I can't really say much about your first point, as I haven't seen JB in years and I haven't seen JB2 at all, but I definitely agree that "Lord Tony" has quite the sexy voice. =^^=
