@LV5454 This is really well done. Nice and deliberate. You would think that a slower build was probably concocted as an option, by the creative writers, but shot down by the higher ups. They probably feared that people wouldn't have the attention span for the scenario you proposed. And why wouldn't they? Because WWE thought there was money to be made immediately and like you said, to compound the issue, they hadn't built any new stars to keep the universe entertained while Punk was gone.
@LV5454 Good counter-acting point but I still feel even though HHH cost Punk the match Punk still came out look very weak. But still, I loved the way you booked this angle, didn't rush into to anything which was good. I hope to see more booking videos from you in the future.
MSG would go crazy for Punk, but the WWE fans would not know where Punk has been. Only a select audience would. Maybe 30% of all people would know. WWE would have to talk about Punk a little bit in order for this angle to work very well. They would have to know where has been and what he has been doing. Everything is fine except for that part.
@GoldStandard000 i mentioned he was given an invitation to come back. it would of been advertised much like when someone got injured like hhh/cena for over a year, and he would of got a great pop regardless imo
They just needed to book that differently and they should have done Nash/Punk first and then saved Punk/HHH for like Survivor Series or TLC. Rock wrestling at Survivor Series was fine. He did a little bit and showed the fans that he still has it. Gave them a little taste, so now that leaves you wanting to see him do a full match. Good booking, but a few things I didn't agree with. How would people know where Punk has been? WWE isn't advertising it. Only the IWC would know.
@GoldStandard000 they dont need to know where punk has been, he is not there kayfabe wise. did ppl knew where guys like austin, rock, hhh, etc were at when they were injured? no. it doesnt matter where they been. what matters is how he is advertsed to come back and once that is established ppl will care
@LV5454 True. They probably would care, but the angle would not be as effective to me. Why have him do the stuff outside of WWE if not a whole lot of people know about it?
@GoldStandard000 the point of all of that is to establish that punk is legit gone. fool the internet as best as possible. and with advertising twitter so much, much of the internet is acknowledge, so why not have the part implemented?
Morrison should have won MITB, but he got hurt. Nobody else deserved to win that. Kofi wasn't ready for the chance to win the title. Truth maybe, but at that point he already had a title shot against Cena the month before. Del Rio was the only option at that time. The tournament should have been spread out a little further. Id say over 2 weeks. Half one week and half the other. They could have dragged out the Punk being gone for a couple months, but I felt the HHH/Nash thing was good.
LV booked to perfection that layout. I liked it so much better than the rush job WWE did. This is the reason I believe fans are turning on Punk, Ryder, and Danielson now. Very good HHH ego has to be in check though and he must be willing to put CM Punk over as the next top guy.
I may have to re-make this in WWE'12 upload on Community Creations. Thanks LV appreciate the video. Good content and booking was logical.
@BigDaddy0207 Internet fans are turning on Punk. He still gets the loudest pops though. Fans are turning on Ryder and I am actually a little surprised that it happened so fast. The fans were never fully behind Bryan to begin with and his character is looking a bit heelish so that's probably why he's getting some boo's
@ROHAwesomeJesse I just can't stand how quickly fans turn on someone they want pushed and then people wonder why storylines are rushed today. Look at how people invest into guys one minute he's hot then he's terrible. I usually pick some guys with potential, endorse a few (next big thing), and My guy theory (follow a superstar) CM Punk is very talented and continues to be my favorite WWE superstar and I hope he gets back on track with a big storyline.
oh ok sorry about that, but the game was great. 49ers vs. the Ravens at the Superbowl. also, I'm not a fantasy booker or anything but I liked the way you booked CM Punk.
First I like the video, and second remember when you said that Alex Smith cannot be the hero? well he just became the hero today. it was great game though.just going off topic a bit.
Only thing I would have had Punk demand Triple H give him the title. John Cena would have had a back and forth shoot for a few seconds, then Cena would have handed over the title and demanded the first shot. Punk Agrees, Cena gives him the belt and Punk signs the contract. Then Cena stares Punk down and tackles him to the ground and starts punching. Security comes in and breaks them up.
Great stuff man but the question then is who wins the Raw money in the bank and who does Cena drop the title to at Elimination Chamber cause I do not want Cena vs Rock for the WWE title
I certainly think WWE rushed Punk's comeback, but with this version I think it's a bit too drawn out. What if Punk came back at the September PPV instead of waiting until the December one? I also don't like Triple H vs. Punk at WM and am much more keen on Punk vs. Jericho. Perhaps that Triple H vs. Punk feud should take place more around Dec.-Jan. You'd lose much of ADR's title reign, but I think that would be worth it to not keep Punk away for quite so long.
@KyleEnjoysWrestling for me, for him to return during sept would have not been the worst idea, however i want to really grab the feel from fans that this is a legit leave. for so long wwe has had ppl leave kayfabe wise and i feel we dont get enough investment in believing a person is gone no matter how much wwe stresses it. (cont)
@KyleEnjoysWrestling (cont) the wwe's original plan was actually for punk to return at survivor series and i think that would of been perfect especially for it not only being at a big 4 ppv but having that msg moment that wwe usually does and it can add some extra buys imo to see that with anticipation. you can kind of relate with punk being out for a while similiar to how hhh or cena was injured and was out for months. fans wont forget and will anxiously wait for his return. but thats just me
@JarrodDrover123 imo they would care. compare it to how hhh or cena was out of action for a few months to a year. and then they mention them coming back within a month up to a ppv or raw. and once they came back, they got some of the greatest pops ever.

remember that brief period on Raw when everyone had a claim to a wwe title match ?
I'd have had Hunter put Punk in a 6 man cell match for the title.
Would have done great business.
