Hey mantic! Firstly, thank you for inspiring me to take the safety razor plunge! The first week has been exciting and rewarding. I'm still getting used to it though and experimenting with what works and doesn't. Secondly, I have a question: do you dry your razor after every use? I read that water will dull the razor blade. Some people dip in alcohol to speed the drying process. Your thoughts? Thanks for doing what you do!

My setup: Merkur HD with Personna blades, Trumper's Coconut Oil Shaving Cream, The Art of Shaving's Sandalwood Pre-Shave Oil. I use Proraso's Shaving Cream and Pre-Shave Cream in the summer.

Since switching to wet shaving I've been looking forward to shaving. The ritual or process if you will. Mixing the lather and so on. Plus just the result for me is so much better. Keep doing what you're doing.
