  • @sweet161402... god is reason? What was his reason for all the historical genocide, slavery, child abuse, etc. done in his name? It's all there in your bible. I'm glad MY definition of "reason" is waaaaaayyyyy different than your god's. A mind uncluttered with superstition is able to experience reality.... I hope someday you understand.

  • Not all Christians are out there telling others how to live. This man is correct in the way that we are to tell people the Good News & that's it.But down through History we know at times we had to defend our Faith. It goes both ways. God IS REASON.

  • @sweet161402 Defending irrational faith that religion endorsed is pointless and wrong.

And if god is reason, then does genocide of people who disagrees with you can be said as good? is slavery a good thing? is considering women as creatures beneath men right? the bible endorse these wicked things.

If you answer all of that with no, then god is unreasonable.

If you try to defend those things endorsed in the bible that are morally wrong, then you are a disgustingly wicked man.

  • @sweet161402 yeah you have to defend your faith from other faiths. correct me if im wrong, i dont think atheists have ever persecuted anybody.

  • the guy already has one foot out of the door of the crazy house... i applaud his willingness to be able to think and delve into topics that may be somewhat uncomfortable for him.

  • Should have shown him more respect but w/e floats your boat and gets you views lol

  • @Br0o0otal Yeah their smugness and lack of respect for these people kind of turns me away a little. They're not being better than them. They just stoop to their level. I showed an agnostic friend of mine these videos and he was kind of appalled. Put them in the same group he puts most Christians/Catholics.

  • If only more Christians were like this.

  • wow a smart christian

  • Omfg, their faces!

  • Christianity Today magazine did a survey that showed Christians who divorce, will remarry and divorce far more times than non-Christians. The "institution of marriage" has become a farce and has nothing more to do with a religious view point than a non-religious view. Marriage in the USA, with it's necessity of getting a license, has more to do with tax code than morality. And that comes from me, a Christian, 28 years of marriage, one wife, and I've never cheated :-)

  • i dont like the idea of gay marriage, but i think gays should get the right to marry because the only thing funnier than a gay person is someone MARRIED to a gay person hahaha

  • @TheCoolerChannel What the fuck? From my hands and my Husband, go to hell.

  • @HappyIsFleeting what i thought gays and people who supported gay marriage were nice. you cant rise up in society with offensive language like that...

  • @TheCoolerChannel Yes we can, will, and have been. Its called life motherfucker, get used to it. fuck fuckity fuck fuck

  • @HappyIsFleeting gays cant carry on life so.....

  • @TheCoolerChannel and the parade of life marches ever closer to your door step.

  • @TheCoolerChannel its called adoption fo those pple who decide to abandon their kids and for the people who are un fit to care for a child

  • @TheCoolerChannel Obvious troll is obvious.

  • Hey little sister, SHOTGUN! Gotta love the song...

  • I'm not christian, but this caller was the only legal christian i've ever hear. He doesn't want to crontrol lives of the others, he just want to live his religion freely, helping people, being nice, etc..

If all the christian were real christian like him, i think the war Atheists vs Christian would have no reason to exist.

  • @Groskaykay Well said.

  • @Groskaykay I agree I truly do. There is one issue. Don't come at me for it, but it can't happen. There is too many people and too many ideas. Just a point. nothing more

  • @Groskaykay i think you confused real with pussy

  • @BlindleadintheBlind Citation needed on that figure, plus how are we defining 'real' Christian? Sounds a little too like a 'true Scotsman' to me...

  • Cool dude

  • Atheist Community of British Columbia on FaceBook.com

Please press LIKE. Im trying to gather the atheist of of British Columbia! spread the word :)))

  • Wait....a christian call who isn't an asshole or a moron? No way! I must have imagined that.

  • He's wayyy to logical to be religious, he'll be atheist one day.

  • damn, that guy was cool

  • This guy will become an atheist someday.

  • @Doum92 Doubt it

  • Athiest was attacked by a bear and says "oh God please make this bear a Christian!" the bear stops suddenly, puts his paws together and says "thank you Jesus for this meal Im about to recieve!!!"

  • Good and evil do not exist. They are evolved concepts from our inhabitant culture. Whats considered good in some cultures, is considered evil in others. Ultimately, we only have respect. Even a dog respects the thorns of a flower. A lion respects the waves of a raging river. Why is it that humans cannot respect the sovereignty of a nation?

  • @rainblue7771 i think you're mistaking Actual respect with Respect by fear...

  • He was a cool guy though, that caller. And he made some interesting points, about the totalitarianism of his religion. Forcing it on others isn't really moral at all. People are free, and religious people should respect that.

  • I have hear the question: What is the purpose of your life if you are an atheist.

But what is the purpose of of life for a Christians? Serving god? Getting into heaven?

I can't remember having heard a good answer to that question

  • @jpindseth I would love to answer that question in person because even Atheists answer that question wrong and are living their lives wrong even though they are still atheists.

  • However, scripture mentions that it is the job of a Christian to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). This caller seems to have a good heart, but he should mention what should be done, not what IS done, like what so many so-called “Christians” do. Condemning people or telling them they’re going to Hell is wrong, plain and simple.

  • @eric18422 You are absolutely correct, unless you take every single word in the bible as gosplel, you are a hypocrite.

  • Now when the caller says “what business do Christians have getting out there and trying to control the lives of others”, I do not feel a true Christian would do that. They preach the Word of God, and should let the listeners decide for themselves. No man can convert another man, only God. Whether or not a human accepts it is their choice.

  • While he seems like a generous, objective Christian, he seems to have a very lukewarm approach to plain doctrine, such as homosexual lifestyles. Just because someone does something bad or wrong, doesn’t mean someone is condemned. I completely agree about how morally wrong it is to force your opinions upon others, as I feel a loving merciful God opens the minds of others to their discretion, but we as humans have the free moral agent to do as we wish.

  • wow! finally an educated caller!

  • Matt, this 'other thing' which determines "moral value" is called Justice.. What this actually does is call justice unjust.

Typical atheist double talk. The word morality is itself a subjective term. It's like trying to find the primary colors by asking people what their favorite colors are. This kind of thinking is the opposite of thought. It's only sensuality.

Justice is not so flimsy. We're force to conclude either that all is just or all is unjust. Are we all justified by nature or not?

  • @knowwaie Justice is a subjective human construct, and we have no evidence that it exists as an objective constant of the universe, like Gravity or the Nuclear Forces.

  • That's exactly the point.. It's not that it doesn't exist, you deny it's existence which is the reason why all behavior is justified by your philosophy.

Killing is justified. And killing is fun.. So why do we keep these laws if they are prohibiting a good time?... Human life is recyclable anyway... How much more enjoyable would that be than video games? We could at least bring back Roman Gladiator style games. Real life shoot outs. Why the fuck not? Are your feet too tender? Then sit and watch.

  • @knowwaie Killing is not justified. It contravenes my personal aversion to pain.

I am averse to pain and suffering. This is not arbitrary, it is a biological reaction to keep my body from harm. I know that there is no rational basis to think my own experience is uniquely important and so to give others no valid reasons for hurting me, and to avoid hypocrisy, I must refrain from hurting them.

  • Well, that was why i specified that there is a contractual agreement signed by the attenders... I said this to find common ground.. Contracts are very theological. The word testament actually means contract... I digress.

I don't understand your reasoning for changing the contract.. So lets just get rid of the contract all together.. Bodily harm? Pain?... There is pain in child birth.. Should we outlaw pregnancy? You have absolutely no basis for saying pain and death are bad.

  • @knowwaie Let's look at it from a legalistic standpoint. What if the law read "You will not be punished for hurting others, but others will be punished for hurting you."

A and B harm each other. But when each quotes the second half of the law requiring the others punishment, the other quotes the first, requiring immunity from punishment. This is the sort of bizarre outcome that can come from having a system of morality that is egocentric in nature.

  • @TheGeneralCritic Sadly, police officers seem to have this 'law' applied to them in qualified immunity, and they sometimes abuse it, in the States.

  • @knowwaie Far from being arbitrary or lacking foundation, we have solid reasons to have basic prohibitions against causing needless harm to other human beings.

  • And i'm not even joking by the way. I want you to take my example as a legitimate consideration. Roman gladiator gun warfare. New and improved. You join the fight, sign a contract agreeing that your life could be lost etc.

See, the most comical part about this is, this idea i've presented is completely justifiable by your philosophy, yet, you are the ones who are afraid of it. I personally love the idea, i'd sign the contract and join the fight. I bet atheists would be too pussy.. Strange no?

  • Theist don't know how to strongly argue againts atheism!! Why?

  • @TheMichlink this is easy its because when you get right down to the core of the issue there really is no prove so what ends up happening is its really REALLY hard to debate an issue if you have no prove of said theisim lol

  • @TheMichlink you try defending a lie. its hard

  • @floriswazza but how do one knows whether its a lie?

  • @TheMichlink Well it's not so much that it's a lie, but there are certain aspects of most religions that we know aren't true. For example, we know the bibles creation story is not true and yet certain people try to argue that it is. Obviously those people are going to have a very difficult job trying prove their point when all the evidence is against them. It's not even difficult to argue against atheism. Just find evidence that proves the existence of god etc and you've done it!

  • There is no law, there are only any and all principles within human nature, any concept within any diety implies any manner within any obedience which is the underlying argument over any persons named God being used within any excuse within not being able to communicate within any intrinsic charachter of uninhibited affection. one cannot show to another any mere belief, reason willalways be within any andall true physical relationships which iswhat QuantumMechanics should and willoneday fruition

  • Laws are all about being controlled by an invisible conscience which doesnt have any true authority, the basic underlying thread within any concept within "Christianity" would be predicated within any and all paternal senses, when reading the good book propely, including the old testament metaphoric parables of adam eve cain abel, which would be all about applying these to our all inclusive senses; philosophy" is any basis in part for any true psychology' Im an athiest

  • @usagora You are just playing with words now, and you know it.

It's not very surprising, considering you couldn't offer any logical explanation to why 2 people shouldn't have the legal right to be married, outside of your own biased opinions.

And just for the record, being "physically complimentary" is not exactly a very compelling logical basis for making something illegal; but I suspect you recognize this, and that's why you are so unwilling to defend your "point".

    Bye now.

  • Comment removed

  • @usagora The difference between your opinion and mine is that yours limits the rights of others, and mine does not. Another difference is that I can provide logical reasoning as to why gay people should be allowed to get married, and you cannot provide any logical reasons why they shouldn't.

It's easy to provide logical reasons for why it is illegal to kill, steal, and rape someone.

It should be just as easy to provide logical reasons why it should be illegal for 2 gay people to marry. So...?

  • @usagora I love how you say "I can handle your opinion without getting nasty", then by the end of the same post, you are accusing me of being gay. I am not. And MY claim of opinion CAN be backed up logically.

Your claim is based on reproduction (biology), which neither requires marriage, nor is a prerequisite of marriage. You have logically explained why gay people cannot reproduce.

You have yet to address what reasons exists that makes it logically wrong for them to be legally married.

  • @usagora Yeah, of course saying gay people don't have the right to be legally married isn't hateful in the least, because I'm sure you have lots of LOGICAL BASIS to make this claim.

And since you have such a broad LOGICAL BASIS to support your claim that they shouldn't have the legal right to get married, let's hear it! Let's hear that logical basis, which I'm sure is backed by evidence and grounded in reality.

  • @usagora Furthermore, don't forget that it was YOU who left an unsolicited comment espousing your hate towards other people. It was YOU who started the flame war.

Did you really think you could just leave a comment like that and not be called out as a bigot or a homophobe?

Your case seems to be that it's okay for you to attack other peoples' beliefs, but if someone does it to you, they are starting an "internet game for children". How very adult of you.

Do you realize how hypocritical you sound?

  • @usagora Just like you labeled me "sir or maam". Both your label and mine are true assessments. I can logically prove which sex I am. Can you logically prove that marriage is "reserved only for that sacred bond between a man and woman"?

Because if you cannot logically prove your claim, then it is baseless. People who make baseless claims about the rights of others ARE bigots. People who make these baseless claims against gay people ARE homophobes.

Both of these labels accurately apply to you.

  • @usagora WOW!

I think maybe you should go ahead and look up what an "analogy" actually is before you attempt to use one again.

And if you think that marriage is somehow "reserved only for that sacred bond between a man and woman", then I would agree with you that you probably should just go ahead and get out now, before you are made to look like an even bigger fool than you currently do.

Unless, of course, you'd like to put forth some factual basis for this assertion.

    Have a nice day.

  • @usagora As a veteran, I'm pretty disgusted that you would compare a Purple Heart award to the RIGHT to be married.

You think you somehow EARNED the right to marry a woman? Tell me, what pain did you endure to EARN the right to get married?

Personally, I never got wounded in combat, but I know a lot of guys that did. And you comparing a Purple Heart, which is an HONOR, to the right to get married, which is a RIGHT, is just sick.

You are a bigotted homophobic Christian. You are an embarrassment.

  • @EppurSiMuove419 The pain isn't BEFORE the marriage.... heheh

  • @BigDiamondCutter LOL touche!

  • @usagora "Marriage entails more than a certificate. It's a lifelong commitment and the union of two people as one"

And you think gays are incapable of such a commitment?

Your shoddy "reasoning" reeks of the old antimiscegenation arguments with the words "niggers" crossed out and "faggots" written in.

  • @usagora "imagine how a Purple Heart recipient would feel if the same honor was given to a military officer who got a paper cut on the battlefield. He got hurt too, right? Or how would a Ph.D. recipient feel if his same degree was given to someone who took only one course and wrote a 500 word essay?"

Oh fucking HOGWASH!! Marriage licenses are issued UPON DEMAND, not awarded to people on the basis of some remarkable acheivement!

YOU seem to be the one who wants "self-centered entitlement"!

  • @usagora So if the caller is the one that has it backwards, go ahead and answer the two questions he asked.

If gay people want to get married, how is that hurting YOUR marriage?

And how are you defending YOUR marriage by preventing gay people from getting married?

  • If atheists are going around trying to "convert" people away from religion, doesn't that make them sort of a religion themselves? If they TRULY did not care about religion, they wouldn't give a crap that Christians exist. These people are following a strict list of rules dictated by science, and put all their faith in science. That is a religion, like it or not.....

  • @1337wafflezz "If atheists are going around trying to "convert" people away from religion doesn't that make them sort of a religion themselves? If they TRULY did not care about religion, they wouldn't give a crap that Christians exist."

And we DON'T give a crap about it.

Until fundie morons try supplanting science with scripture or threatening us with eternal damnation "coz the bible SEZ so".

Then when we rip them new assholes, they accuse us of "trying to convert them".

    Get real.

  • @emfederin Bro, there are atheists that posts signs saying "It's ok to be atheist". They are proselytizing, and have somewhat of a rigid structure as to what they believe. It's like, anything remotely related to science just HAS to be true, even though it can't be completely explained at this moment. TBH I think only agnostics are the ones who truly do not put any kind of "faith" in anything.

  • @1337wafflezz In your first post you said "A rigid list of rules"

Now you are saying "somewhat of a rigid structure".

I asked you for the "rigid list of rules" that I was supposed to be following, because no one ever gave me a copy of it. Would you mind telling what, exactly, the "rigid list of rules" is?

And you think putting up billboards that say "It's okay to be Atheist" is the same as telling a child that if they don't believe what you are telling them, they will burn in hell forever?

  • I don't get why the debate is reduced to christians vs. atheists, when there are several other religions and belief systems.

I am a Brazilian agnostic atheist and most of opposition for me comes from "new age" theist who insist in a hierarchy of several evolutional rings.

Why can't people believe that the after-life is as chaotic as the life it self? If there is an after life, why must it be better or centralized around single entity while the universe itself is a distributed system?

  • @marlls1989 The debates are reduced down to Christians vs. Atheist because Christians always try to impose their beliefs on others. Claiming that the US is a Christian nation when the treaty of Tripoli, article 11 specifically specifies that we are not. Complaining about not having prayer in schools, LOL, that's why they built churches. Complaining about not having intelligent Design taught. Putting "under god" in the Pledge. "In god we trust" on our dollar. Prayer at graduations.

  • @marlls1989 So on and so fourth. Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, and company don't do that. If Christians would practice religion in the privacy of their homes and churches and not impose their beliefs on others, there will be no more Atheist vs Christians.

  • We, Live, We Die! That's it

  • @lannimerk that's one of the wonderful things about being atheist! Your purpose can be whatever you want it to be! It's sad that so many people don't see this amazing opportunity!

  • What does an atheist believe is their purpose is in life?

  • @laanimirk "What does an atheist believe is their purpose is in life?"

    To eat fundies.

  • @emfederin

and to piss off crazy christinas

  • @emfederin Good answer, I always found that a dumb question for a christian to ask an atheist, I mean if we have accepted the concept of a 14 billion year old universe and a 4 and a half billion year old earth and millions of years of evolution why would we believe we had a purpose. I believe since we have the ability to use logic and reason, and we just want to enjoy the short life we have since we only get one shot at it.

  • @emfederin Ok when I read your comment, the first thing I did was look up fundies in google images. What I got were images of two people wearing the same pair of underwear with the slogan, "The underwear built for two!" lolololol XD

  • @emfederin wow did yet another religious person asked a question like atheism had a dogma? to eat fundies? LOL dont trolololololololololololol that guy

  • @emfederin you heretic. It is simply to eat Jaffa Cakes !.

  • @emfederin thats an amazing purpose

  • @laanimirk Atheism is not an all-encompassing doctrine. However, there are numerous "atheistic" philosophies that address the question of "purpose." I would suggest Sartre or Nietzsche. Especially Sartre.

  • oh my god a christian that is ACTUALLY being christian! so rare these days a nice guy, still wrong but a nice guy better then ignorant stupid christians who he was pointing out.

  • Wow, this caller is more off his rocker than the hosts are.

    He is totally lost.

  • @laanimirk No joke. God hates fags, right? *nudge, wink*

  • This caller is not a christian, he's a wannabe.

God ordained the institution of marriage.

  • @laanimirk if only that were true. Marriage existed prior to the old testament, and didn't exist as we know it until I believe either the 50's or the 60's (yay for stereotypes on early TV >.>)

  • long live the atheist experience!

  • @katie638 Exactly

  • Why is Matt wearing a child rape costume?

  • @scotttebben hahaha =D

  • @scotttebben for lulz?

  • @scotttebben Put two and two together.Lol

  • well i think there are 2 morals.

The first moral is obviously picked up from peoples different walks of life, prespectives and traits, while the second morality coming from the type of lifestyle one choses from their own religion. a christ believer is going to have a much different morality code from a buddha believer or a islamic believer. But that second morality comes in ways that you may or may not see.

Atheism manly from what Matt sounds like only believes in the first Morality code.

  • @katie638 Muslims too

  • why was stunned by the titel

  • and yes i have been very unfair to people when it comes to conversations...i do on occasion treat people like subhuman trash....but i still can reason with the person and apologise to them and start treating them fair....i take responsibility for being a dickhead, and i dont have anyone to blame other than myself for it, and can care less if a sky daddy gives a shit, he would be irrelevent, the people i wrong in life is personal and has nothing to do with some god who didnt take part to stop it.

  • when it comes to a god, and if one is real...Who CARES!!! we have no way of really knowing which god is real...but if say, yahway was real...that wouldnt change anything...if the old and new testiments were proven 100% accurate...i would willingly go against it...and suffer the consequences...i live my life making the attempt to be nice to others and to be fair...if i deserve punishment for that...so be it...i dont have any fear of death or of god, if there is another life thats a new chapter.

  • it is not about intelligence....it is about letting go of fear....and not letting fear rule your life....when you accept that you are your own person and take personal responcibility, and are ready for the consequences of immoral actions....that makes you an ADULT. it is bullshit to think that doing a wrong can be forgiven...(its allready happend) just dont do it again!!! that is what morality is...STOP DOING IT. if it doesnt hurt anyone though, nobody cares but you, and it is not a wrong done

  • I think I know what this guy is on about, I was brought up in a Christian background and had the morals of religion brought onto me, and I think that has helped me greatly in making decisions in life about what I should and shouldn't do, for example an eye for an eye sometimes only escalates a situation. If only there was som eway which the logic and truthfulness of atheism could be combined with the moral conciousness that religion provides, then ,mayb society could really be something special

  • @LinearMusiKHD ok hold on... i was a bit rushed in my last response...(im only human)

atheism means nothing....it says only 1 thing about a person(a lack of belief in a particular supernatural claim, which one depends on the person and everyone is an atheist to such criteria)...theism can say a lot about someone, means they do have some supernatural belief (which has never been demonstrated) but in the end it says only that about a theist, they believe in a particular dogma

  • @LinearMusiKHD now my screen name has a purpose....it says nothing about who i really am...it is just something that i stuck with because i LIKED IT...but the purpose of it i guess is for trolling people to think im an immoral person, when in fact, i Demonstrate a higher morality...it is true that i laugh at theists(i was born that way and raised theist) it wasnt until i was 13 that i realized people were not roleplaying this...and actually couldnt tell fantasy from reality.

  • Comment removed

  • @MadMAn12gauge I think thats a really dumb and stupid comment to make and maybe you should move your ass and chubby fingers away from the keyboard and into the library and read up on the whole creationism vs atheism debate, might enlighten" you a little bit. LOL joker.

  • @LinearMusiKHD so basically what i believe without hardcore evidence makes me dumb....go look in the mirror rehab...if it is ok for you to assert what you believe...then i can say Anything i want so go fuck yourself douchebag

  • @MadMAn12gauge Some of you guys think there's no middle term between being a complete skeptical and being a creationist, biblic fairy tale believer. I believe that there is an intelligence behind the universe, but I also believe that an abstract concept like morality won't be told to me, literally, by an old book organised by men.

I never see atheists criticizing philosophically rooted religious systems, like french Spiritism and Budhism. I guess it wouldn't be that fun.

  • why have NO presists called in to the show?

  • @italiancarsworck There's a theory that priests eventually have no desire to believe and practice God for their sake, rather see it more as a job. Not a job of savior, but a job for profit.

  • @BrainDeadZombies ""but a job for profit""

I believe it for why else would someone want to join an empty dead religion. I experienced God and do every day all day. I just go where he leads me (not all the time). And I do it for the joy and spiritual life that wont end.

  • @j919or You're different. Like I mentioned before, there are people who do it as a job, not actually put belief into it.

  • the only good thing about this video is Billy Idol

  • Is this fagget really a christian??

  • Comment removed

  • @ThePimV That made no sense.

  • Atheists should wear a photonegative priest costume - white shirt and black collar. Having said this, we'd need un-Jewish and un-Islamic artifiacts as well... a woman in a bikini on the white shirt... with an eight-pointed star on the breast pocket.

The caller has all the reasoning skills needed to drop religion like a bad habit - literally and figuratively.

  • @joepesciscat Oh go troll somewhere else.

  • Fabulous caller.

  • @joepesciscat But... it's not only fags that have got AIDS... You're making a fool out of yourself.

  • This reminds me of my R.E. teacher at school, she was a catholic who hated catholicism and the catholic church, she actually said that she'd be a quaker if she could stay quiet for long enough. it's no wonder I was her favourite student

  • @joepesciscat I'm quoting Wikipedia because it's easy and convenient, but the article references more scholarly articles.

"A 1999 review by researcher Bruce Bagemihl shows that homosexual behavior has been observed in close to 1,500 species, ranging from primates to gut worms, and is well documented for 500 of them."

You're wrong. Nature doesn't care. It tries every variation it can, so that when the shit hits the fan, it can adapt (i.e. evolve) and survive. Some species even change gender.

  • @ShallowThoughts what sort of species change gender?Cause a living being cant evolve or change in any way.Evolution happens after a couple of generations,or so i've heard. But the basic rule is the one the guy said,to mate and procreate.Indeed homo behaviour has been recorded in animals too. After all diseases like aids were transfered from animals.

  • @ArchEnemyNemesis1 "a living being cant evolve or change" .. they can't evolve in a single lifetime, but they can change. It's called growth (to adulthood, etc.).

And some animal species are evolved specifically so that they're capable of changing gender within a single lifetime. Didn't you watch that "Jurassic Park" movie? Also just do a google search for gender change in animals. Lots of stuff on the web.

  • @ShallowThoughts dont get all defensive by quoting me, we are on the same page here. But actually thats just evolution, like iguanas were forced growing mermaid-like fins in some islands of the Caribbean.Well actually nature cares or more specifically living beings care and do whatever it takes to survive.A plant can burst through thick concrete to grow.the body of A cockroack can potentially live without a head for a week.

  • @ArchEnemyNemesis1 ""Cause a living being cant evolve or change in any way.""

The sun is out and we change skin color. Is this evolution or adaptation? The only hope that evilutionists have is to continue to mix the two and base the unproven macro evolution upon the proven adaptation/micorevolution.

  • @j919or well those are two different things.Evolution according to its theory comes after a generation or two in certain species that also need a critical life and death factor to evolve in order to survive.Actually if you wanna find out more you can google some sites that have lots of stuff on evolution

  • @ArchEnemyNemesis1 ""find out more you can google ""

You mean if i wanna find out the newest lies being thrust on the gullible public?

  • @j919or why would scientists would have to lie about their work. If that's the case then dont trust anything and choose what you want believe by yourself.

  • @joepesciscat Funny how prevalent homosexual behaviour is among the animal kingdom. I guess, according to your world view, humans must be "special". Ironic that we still manage to have homosexual people, against your worldview.

I don't really think a worldview that is 100% contrary to reality is particularly useful .. but hey, to each his own.

  • Well then another question to the open-minded caller: how does it hurt or injure "your marriage" if other people wanted to get legally married to their siblings, or their children, or have polygamous marriages, or "marry" animals or consenting 9 years old (it alleged Muhammad did so)

Answer: It doesn't ! Obviously, though society ( via laws) has no qualms establishing rules and controlling lives & restricting choices - this is what is meant by 'institution' * 'freedom" under law.

  • rankly, if logical proofs are so important to you, I leave your search to you (there are dozens of works to refute these contentions); check-out N.T. Wright's work

    1) No 'sky'daddy'- Jesus was raised from the dead by the same Creator God who made you & all life

    2) Why would 1st century christians under persecutions from jewish leaders and later death edicts from the Roman state be magically 'pre-disposed' to believe anything ?

    3) There are literally thousands of New Testament manuscripts.

  • Thank you caller for clarification on same-sex marriage! So called Christians are a nuisance to society. How can same-sex marriage threaten marriage of the opposite sex.

  • He accuses his fellow Christians that attend his church for not thinking critically...

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black...

This is why i hate theists, a lot of the time they are grossly ignorant of their OWN level of ignorance.

  • @JuanchoMan bit of a tautology there mate... being ignorant necessarily entails that that person is unaware of their own ignorance.... otherwise it wouldn't be ignorance would it! but i see your point nevertheless.

  • The caller seems like such a nice guy. I'm an atheist, but if christians acted like him, and realized that their beliefs are theirs an no one else's, this world would be just a little bit better off.

  • hey billy idol in the beginning!:)

  • 0:40 to get to it.

  • This is my favorite caller. Unlike the general caller, this man is not afraid to think. It's like, Christians think that they're being told that they're wrong, so they don't want to hear it.. there's nothing wrong about acknowledging and embracing reality.. I just hope one day we can realize that.

  • Not all Christians shove their beliefs down everyone's throats. The beliefs at our core is that of LOVE. Which ofcourse we ALL fall short. I admire the conflict of interest here. Christians' like myself, are taught through scripture to leed 'souls' to Christ. So without 'proof', I'll base my belief's & non-belief's on reason instead of theory.

"Not all Christians shove their beliefs down everyone's throats."

that's great, but so what? Enough of you support them so that they have power.

"The beliefs at our core is that of LOVE."

Have you ever read the bible? It is the most disgusting and vile book i have ever read. Any "god" that would use the bible as its voice is not worthy of our praise. Our pity or fear? Yes. But loving? One that loves the smell of burning flesh.

God of love; that will send you to hell, what a joke.
