  • you just have to rule out the jealous ones- and the ones who are truly concerned- there was nothing wrong with this horse - what about all those jumping videos or cattle roping videos- you think they need to be responsible for "Joe Local"s thick headed thinking too?

  • he shows a lot of trust in you, good job :)

  • she sucks at horse traing and thats it.

she needs to get a life

  • THE TAP WOn'T HURT HIM!!!!! Go wach Endospink's videos he TAPs his horses ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Random181 I'm so sorry about the retards comenting this vid, you know they just have no horse sence at all.

  • I can't see how people can call this creul. It's a legimate procidure based on behavior of wild horses. if i remeber right, in the horse language, i think it's something like a death threat. But anyways, very nice job!

  • You should really take the saddle off before you did this.

  • ... Are you thick?

  • This method is neither cruel nor painful to the horse. Is it painful for the horse to lay down in the pasture on its own? When done correctly it is very gentle and for the most part relaxing for the horse.

  • This is so horrible! There are many ways to help unruly horses without making them lay down.

What happens when Joe Local tries this at home, when he has as much feel as a stone. UGH!!@@@

  • If Joe Local tries it and fucks his horses up, that's not my problem.

Please enlighten me as to how this is 'horrible.'

  • you're retarded! You obviously know nothing about horses! Irish-ass or whatever your name is there!!!

  • @irishcas I don't think Joe Local could get his horses to lie down could he?? I would have taken the saddle off though The horse looks extremely comfortable though

  • "My videos are for entertainment purposes only and are not intended for training nor should be replaced for a professional trainer." -Endo

  • they might fight endo, but you have to realize he has to work with troubles/young TB's that are locked up in stalls all day untill he works with them. I won't do the TAP myself but I think it is the nicest option for these horses in this situation...

  • What is the objective of the "TAP?" And why is it used?

  • where is the rest of teh video? teh beginnin gpart before he was on teh ground??? we always see you people that lie one down after teh horse is on th ground what about the important stuff, how he got there? (especailly with no bridle on???

  • Hes got a bridle on just no noseband. I didn't think I was going to be able to do it so we didn't get a video until he was down unfortunately.

  • yea im think i am going to start doing like you and endo and just break tehm when they are getting cut when they come out of it hey can get up and walk two birds with one stone.

  • Hahaha a RandomEndo! good one!

  • wow awesome! he seemed very relaxed for the whole vid. How did he seem to you? was he upset at all?, Did it take a longtime to get him down., did you need to use a lot of physical strength? Did you notice anything different in his behaviour?

  • Howdy! He was super relaxed once he got down, and was doing all those relaxed groans and everything. It took me ages to get him up!

He was a bit upset once I started pulling his head around, and at one point when he was halfway down he changed his mind and tried to run off, but I got him down shortly after that. There is a fair bit of strength involved, and I've got a broken back so it was tough but I managed. Afterwards he seemed... Confused! But in a good kind of way.

  • Yeah good on ya... Trust me, if a horse fought to stand up- there is no way in hell you'd be able to get him down. Least not unless you flogged him to exhaustion or tied him up or something- THAT would be cruel. Go google the Vagus nerve.

  • i seen endo do and atempt to do the tap, they all fight it they all are in discomfort doing it and it causes problems which is also prooven on soem of endoes videos with horses running backwards and laying down while he is on their back, after he had done the "TAP" can you do it withour a bridle or saddle or harness on them?

  • For a supposed 42 year old you've got the grammar and spelling of a 13 year old.

  • i am a horse trainer not an english teacher. The amazing things Samual clemens did with a pen i do with horses!I dont spell check! I really didnt think any one neandrithol enough to enjoy a method which makes the horse feel as if he is dying would monitor my spelling.

  • So where are your videos of all your amazing techniques then?

  • i dont do videos, i am not a glory hound as endo says had to do something to get him attention I just fix problem horses, and many come from the TAP! if you want to see my work go to my website and talk to several hundred people who speak for me. Through trust i can fix any horse no matter how traumatised! I do a lot of thoroughbreds adn have not had one horse buck i started since 2002( well over 1000)

  • Your boasting an awful lot for someone who claims to be a better horsemaster then Paul Williams.

If you 'fix broken horses' then you should know all about the horses flight -fright system and how calm they can be on the floor. If the TAP is cruel and painful for them, i sure as hell wouldnt have been able to do it with my young TB x who spent his first year after being backed, having godawful riding treatment that has left him traumatised, meaning his flight response is much higher.

  • I agree with you (and all your comments here)

People does this look natural too you? The only reason everyone is agreeing is because these "trainers" think its a good method!

  • Let me guess: you use Parelli?

The tap works. If you've seen Endo's videos, you can see that he starts out with shit-for-brains half-broke (or not at all broke!) thoroughbreds and after the tap, they're light and cooperative race prospects, their brain has been reprogrammed, they've realized it would be easier to just cooperate rather than fight.

If I had a horse who repeatedly acted up, would I use the tap to correct it? Certainly. It works and it's really not cruel at all.

  • Let me guess:you have no horse sense...CORRECT! And no I don't use parelli for your info.Whats wrong with real training? If you don't have the time to train a horse properly don't get or train a horse! Simple.

  • The Parelli people are sooo closed-minded. One parelli trainer told me that what he was doing was so beyond clicker training, without even having tried clicker training. My horse told me he prefers clicker training to boring Parelli. Oh, and the TAP really helps some horses when nothing else does.

  • ergh, how bout I use someone whos not as overly know as parreli, I don't like parelli as much as I use to, though I think the methods work on some horses...its too babyish. I'll use someone else to kinda prove my point. Monty Roberts the horses he gets are also really green. He does it while being affective but not as a sort of device (i know your going to say something about that sentence) You guys already hate me on here anyway. thums me down i don't care its my opinion wrong or right

  • @WesternHorseGirl

    I agree!
