@bauhbjingles the reason i said poor squirrel is because his future was doomed before he even had a chance to live. He had no parents and the system in place to take care of him growing up failed if he ended up in a situation like his at age 17. Squirrel didnt do anything. He watched his friend shoot a man. If someone cared about him enough when he was younger he would have never been in that situation in the first place.

I was 13 when i first got in the system, and i was on house arrest for 3 months, probation for 3.1/2 years. Its a whole different world going in there.

The only reason i wasn't given harder time was because my weapon was 1/4 inch away from being a deadly weapon, so my time wasn't as tough. I believe this comment is coming from someone who hasn't even experienced the life behind bars. That is the "big boy" Prison sir, and you wouldnt even understand the changes even the smallest of crimes has to offer.
