  • It is amazing to me to see corporations refuse responsibility for their products or the pain/illness their products create. In this case its Cargill or it could be IBP, Tyson or insert large corp. name here, they need to step-up since they can afford to and because its a consumer food product, the HACCP of receiving supplies that go into making their eidable products

  • I work at a Cargill plant in Nebraska City, Nebraska, and I can tell you that I will not eat anything that comes out of my plant. I have witnessed old meat arrive and be accepted when it should have been rejected. I've also witnessed very old meat beginning to turn color and smell rotten before they finally process it. Also seen people drop bare pieces of meat on the filthy floor and then box them back up without washing them or throwing them away! ...lots more examples

  • This video needs to be shown to as many people as possible.

  • Immunity system sucks

  • Good luck Stephanie, I hope you get better soon. I think she should go to China and have stem cells implanted in her spine to get her walking again. It helped a guy in S. Florida. Stephanie google, David Aldrich, 45, of Delray Beach as reported in the Sun Sentinel. He had a tragic accident from diving in shallow water and ended up blind and a quadriplegic and now is walking again.

  • They want to run small farmers out off their land Clean water Act, clean food Act & Animal ID Monsanto is buying up all farms in Obama Administration Ag Dept

  • Nobody can say it was the food industry. What if her mother didn't cook the burgers good enough and now is trying to get paid by suing. Now if she would of ate at a burger joint she would probably have a case.

  • Do you have any idea how many people eat rare beef? Hundreds of millions of beef dishes are eaten everyday and the number of people who get very sick from it is relatively small. The meat industry needs to do everything it can to ensure the meat itself is safe. Their product needs to be safe. It's possible to eat raw beef and not get sick, when the animal's butchered "cleanly". We've heard of tens of millions of pounds of beef getting recalled for safety screw-ups. Cooking well helps, yes.

  • AYA HIRANO

  • DAMN I LOVE THIS SONG. GO SOFT CELL!

  • I washed the fresh spinach real good, but still I got ecolai. I had strong dhiarea for more than a week, that is when I got worried &I went to the emergency room. Anyways, they did nothing for me. I told them I ate spinach and I think it caused it. It was 4 or 5 years ago. A year passed and an outbreak occured in NY and I am sure plenty of people died. If the doctors did their job and reported it to the centers for disease control or some other state food safety agency to investigate the source

  • This is the most effective form of consumer protection.

Expose the food companies and you can be better assured that they will clean up their act.

The local meat sold at our farmer's market is seeming like a great option now--even with it being a bit more expensive than store bought beef.

  • That is fuckin sad.. heres hoping you get better Stephanie!! Dont give up ..

  • That sucks... I feel bad for this girl and that sucks that the companies aren't doing enough to make sure their products are safe. However, I do not understand how she got the infection if her mother cooked the meat properly. Maybe mom needs to learn how to cook a hamburger.

  • Wow, a conservatard troll being insensitive, that's so unexpected. if you held a cook-out tomorrow, and offered burgers, how many members of your family would say, "make mine rare!"?

No, this is not her mother's fault and it is ignorant or evil to suggest that. The answer OF COURSE is to appropriate the proper resources and vote enforcement powers to the FDA and USDA to stop corporations from killing us and paralyzing girls.

  • wow, a lonely internet teenager at home on a Friday Night (not a place I'd be when I was your age, LOL) spouting off like he knows something, how unexpected. whatever little boy.

  • As a part of my job, I had to run frequent tests highly similar to the tests that they show here. They are quick to do, take one day to cure and are very inexpensive. When they quack about costs, they are totally full of fecal coliform incubation material.

  • I will guarantee you that the tainted meat most likely came from the foreign distributor. You should not have to fry meat until it is black in order to guard against food poisoning. These companies are stupid for buying from foreign companies and not testing it.

  • Foreign distributors are the same as US distributors. The standards for raising cows for meat are the same everywhere. It all leads to uncleanliness and animal abuse. And due to the demand for cow meat due to overpopulation, the speed in which animals are raised is sped up, leaving little room for looking over the meat.

  • Nope, you shouldnt. You do not have to fry it until it is black though. You only have to heat it to 160F. That isnt that hot to be honest..

  • The ending really hit it home. I agree, how on earth can the people running these companies sleep at night knowing that they just ruined someone life so they make a buck cutting costs...

  • they're trying to kill us fuckers.

  • just a few points before i start.

    1. we have teeth specifically designed for tearing meat. 2.meat is good, the bible says so.3.i eat right,i'm in good shape.i check all my food.yes you can get protein in other places but chicken and eggs are the richest sources.oh and yes i do respect life.don't try to teach me because i already know

  • WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER

  • I agree meat is just not safe, its best not to eat it but its hard to give up something you ate your entire life but its worth the trip. I do not eat pork or seafood and very very little beef but that chicken and turkey will be added and finally I will be a Veggie eater for life.

  • If we were meant to be meat eaters, we would have sharp teeth like alligators or sharks. I am a proud vegetarian (37 years) my entire life. Yes, even from birth. I will never have to wonder if what I am eating has diseases in it. I wish everyone would understand the dangers. Also the health benefits of eating right.

  • Scary stuff. I only eat cruelty free meat that I have researched, organic, veg feed, ect. Also I know people that work in fast food and some of them do even know why you have to fully cook food, so thats a bad idea in general. Its hard with how times are now, but you get what you pay for. Buy cheap, get cheap. Would suck if that one bad decision had this type of out come. Imagine how her mom feels. Sad story.

  • FUCKIN DIRTY!

  • By overlooking the horrible treatment and slaughtering ethics of the animals that are raised for our food, particularly in factory farming, people make daily choices that are life-threatening. We must protect ourselves...by modifying these choices. Cruelty issues aside, this alone is valid reason for vegetarianism. If we all utilize our intelligence we can make better and life-respecting decisions. Think about your food before eating it and you'll be so much healthier. Best wishes to Steph.

  • illegal aliens are touch your food every day

  • well it wasnt fair for the animal who was killed for your burger...

  • hahahA!!

  • lol :)

  • i feel ya baby girl. i got in a bad wreck and i've had two seizures from my brain damage. i always ask why me? thats life though. i feel ya though.

  • E. Coli is caused by one problem. Feces gets into the meat we eat. Why? The animals killed for slaughter are slaughtered so fast, animals are dying, dirty, and sick by the time they are slaughtered. People would naturally eat meat raw, just like any organism on this Earth, but because there are so many people in this world, and a demand for factory farmed meat, it is produced so fast there is a risk for disease. (bird flu/swine) We cook meat to kill the bacteria from where it comes from. Go veg

  • I am vegetarian and I rated and shared. ecoli is not ALWAYS killed through cooking and freezing, though they are supposed to.

  • Congrats, I am too.

We cook meat to kill the germs on it because it comes from a place dirty...

We naturally eat meat raw. But we can't. goveg . com ;)

  • locott33: Cook meat, sure, that's one way to get rid of ecoli. The other means, which is slightly more effective, is to STOP SPREADING SHIT on meat. That might do the trick.

  • to prevent this e. coli is just to cook it and another great way to prevent it is to put your meat in the freezer...atleast thats wut i was told

  • Of all the meat that is produced in this country and consumed each day this is one out of millions of cases that you hear about. Things happen everyday in every aspect of the food industry. E coli 0157:H7 is a known pathogen and we know how to keep from being contaminated....COOK YOUR MEAT THOROUGHLY! This will kill the E. coli. This is unfortunate for the girl, but instead of turning people against the meat industry it should wake people up and inform everyone of what to do to prevent this.

  • When we sit down to eat there is a question to ask first; Am I consuming Death or Life..eating dead animals does not support ones life but exposes one to disease..there are better sources of protein than Meat.

  • thats true about better sources of meat but i still will eat a burger from time to time...but i'll probabley keep what this video says in mind.

  • Thanks for this. I rated and shared!

  • Poor girl I don't eat meat, his is a good reason why. It's not right that this happens to someone like this when there are rapist and murders etc why do horible things happen to people that don't deserve them?

  • do you really need someone to answer this for you or do you have the brains to come to the conclusion yourself? Disease and tragedy can strike anyone anywhere, thats the way the world is and always will be, unless your a religious nut who thinks god controls things in the world. Welcome to reality cause god doesnt control the world at all, if, and a big if, he created the world he left it all to chance, that or there is no god

  • Intense ending, poor girl, I don't blame her for feeling that way. Screwed up...

  • I live 2 seconds from St Cloud and was here in 2007, but I never heard about this until now. Weird.

I try to stick to local beef, chicken etc etc!

  • wow, powerful ending.

  • It would be easier not to eat the animals.....

  • humans are worse than cokroaches
