  • MORRISSEY RULES !!!!!!!!!

  • @greenjack1959l So quality of music is determined by number of views? Screw Metallica then, go watch some Bieber or Gaga if views are so important to you!

  • @greenjack1959l So that's where i've been going wrong. I should have been following like a sheep rather than having a mind of my own. should have gone along with what everyone else like not someone who's original and has a brain and something to say. thanks for the help mate. I'll never listen to Morrissey again, METAL LICKER is definitely where it's at, maybe a bit of Status Quo too, they have lots of fans too so they must be good, what do you think?????

  • @greenjack1959l Matallica are sooooo fuckin' shite! Give me mozza anyday! Go and crawl back up your own arse where it's nice and warm!!!

  • @greenjack1959l Shut up! Eating meat doesn´t make you a man.I bet you cry like a baby while watching Justin Bieber videos. If you´re so fond of METALLICA go and watch their videos instead.Sucker!

  • @greenjack1959l I actually thought you were talking about yourself there.. lol but I guess you are. I don't think you're quite qualified to call anyone else talentless. Especially not someone as influential as Morrissey.

  • @greenjack1959l

Seriously, you're an utter twat. As stated by hackum1, if you value views over talent, go listen to Bieber and Miley Cyrus.

Also, he's more of a man than any of you pussies will ever be. You're controlled by the media, by society, by the government... Even your fucking diet is controlled by them. You're pathetic. Grow some spine and think for yourself.

  • a puffin perhaps or a magpie. morrissey excellent song.

  • @kakashi4543 Me!

  • morrissey song-by-numbers boring boring, not one of his finest

  • anyone else thought it was "Death of a Disco Dancer" in the beginning?

  • AWW!! So cute, the plaster on Moz his head <3 :3

  • I love this guy.

  • sounds like he's talking about vic Reeves? Heard Moz wsa pretty good with mates with him but ended acrimoniously after Vic insulted him

  • Not as good as the stuff originally released. But then, the only unreleased tracks I've ever loved were the ones Dylan released.

  • 'paint a vulgar picture' wasn't a manifesto, morrissey's not tied to something he wrote +20 years ago, get over it.

  • And now I like my surname...

  • Pretty good song. this is my fav Moz era...Southpaw!

  • This smells so badly of hypocrisy... Extra track? Maybe he oughta listen to Paint a Vulgar Picture again and remind himself of what he thought before the royalties started rolling in...

Having said that, I love him passionately : )

Where is this picture from? It wonderful!! : D

  • @mushroomgirl55 It's only an unreleased before track, laid down during the Your Arsenal sessions. It never made it on the album for one reason or another.

  • @hackum1 I know, it just irritates me that there have been so many compilations and collections of Morrissey/Smiths stuff, each one with only one or two unreleased songs and the rest just reruns of the same old (if much loved) material. I suppose with the advent of downloading this isn't a big deal. But it gets on my nerves.

  • @mushroomgirl55 YES. YS. I hae this editon of Southpaw, but as for the rest- I do not WHICH IS ANNOYING becauseit means that all these exra sogs need to be obtained somehow

  • @mushroomgirl55 How many millions do you think he made made from this track? I've never even heard it before. All the rights are owned by the record company anyway

  • @mushroomgirl55 "Paint a Vulgar Picture" is a condemnation of the record industry and not of any particular artist. Very frequently, they have no say in whether a re-issue or compilation is released. "They could never taint you in my eyes" and all.

  • What album is this on, or is this a single?

  • right on bro!

  • Gorgeous picture, not my favorite song by him, but still far better than what's around here these days.

  • this song is ace.

  • fantastiv song long live mozza

  • Where has this been all my life. It is a poh poor eh of all the 70's music I used to like, before punk landed. Then, at the very end, a new wave bit, Another Girl, Another Planet. Bliss. I now die happy. Rotten. But happy.

  • Not bad, not bad. Took a couple listens for it to truely grow on me. It's got a certain New York Dolls feel to it.

This is definitely a song that Southpaw Grammar needed to make it more well rounded.

The lyrics are excellent - very unique for Morrissey's writing.

  • This one is actually from the Your Arsenal sessions. Why it has been released on the Southpaw reissue ... nobody knows!

  • RIGHT ON BRO!

  • @EvanTopham Thats probably because it is a new york dolls cover

  • This is incorrect.

  • Oh? Really? So did moz write this?

  • @EvanTopham, sounz more like their take on 'The Only Ones' aka their most famous song 'Another Girl, Another Planet', esp with lyrical reference to outer space

  • I do like this a lot. And yes, it's "foot down in a Fantastic Bird" but who cares (this time)? It's slightly silly but come on, wasn't "You're the one for me Fatty" too? And he played that one on national TV.

  • Ok I take back the D side comment but still, not my favorite song. I love to sing along and croon with the man and this song just doesn't do it for me. We can surely agree to disagree now and then. I love Morrissey! Always will! I ran around and saw him 15 times in 2007 so I hope that counts for something. :p

  • Also, before "Welcome I love you," he says "hello".

  • Second line "But then in a fantastic bird" sounds to me like "Foot down in a fantastic bird". Surely a better motor reference?

  • The music came before the words on this one. I'm betting it's usually the other way around.

  • it should be a z side

its a shame because you should of been nice to me is very good and this just isn't

    i still love morrissey :)

  • lifetime moz fan but not that great of a song... not b side, maybe c or d side material.

  • I disagree.

  • Surely a D side would be someone literally just screaming down a microphone for a few minutes.

  • Both songs can be found on the reissue of Southpaw Grammar, out on 27th of april. These songs are previously unreleased.

  • same with you should've been nice to me.

  • where is this song from? single, b-side?

  • Neither, it was recorded in 1995 and not used for owt at all until they rereleased Southpaw last year.
