  • Une carambole ? Une nectarine ? Une poire aussi. Est-ce vraiment indispensable de mentionner des fruits pareils que personne ne connait toutes langues et papilles confondues.

  • il y a un gros problème !!! ce n'est pas du raisin vert mais du raison BLANC !!! connard va !

  • It sounds to me like the narrator is pronouncing 'un' the same way as 'em', 'on', and 'en' are pronounced. What sort of accent is this?

  • Merci beaucoup, vos videos m'aideront a enseigner la langue de Moliere a mon fils.

  • "aanananas" :'DDD Laughed so hard!! :DDD

  • I'll catch un grenade for ya

  • C'est du raisin blanc pas vert!!

  • if you listen closely, when they have the coconut, it sounds like they're saying: no you are coocoo

  • "Des raisin noire" ou "du raisin noire" ?

  • @ildocorrea ni l'un, ni l'autre :-) raisin est un nom masculin, donc l'adjectif noir est aussi accordé au masculin. Mais on dit bien "du raisin" (c'est générique). Donc : du raisin noir !

  • ananasse?

  • id rather learn spanish. this gives me head ache

  • 1:25 par chez nous ont dit melon d'eau..

  • @Dada9x9 LOL x)

  • le pomme du terre is not a fruit.

  • @HunterMann - Where did you hear "Pomme de terre" ? Don't mix it with "Pomme" because "Pomme" is a fruit. Regards, Vincent.

  • @imagiers I hear the phrase pomme de terre often when people are speaking of potatoes. I was merely stating that potatoes, in French, are called Earth/Dirt Apples or Apples of Earth/Dirt. I really like this series of visual vocabulary builders. Merci bien!

  • @HunterMann well if you go in france maybe , but in quebec you'll mostly hear the world patate wich is closer to potato , we don't say green lemon but lime and we don't say pastèque we say melon d'eau wich is the word for word for watermelon ... mostly there's small differences like that because we have been closer then them to english people so we have a lot of those closer words or word for word translations , but has time pass france adopts more and more english words

  • @imagiers - I did not hear "pomme de terre" either but to be more specific "pomme" isn't just a fruit. it is an apple. "pomme de terre" literally means "apple of the earth" it is a potato.

  • @imagiers "Pomme de terre" In english is Potatoes and Potatoes are not a fruit.

  • @HunterMann La Pomme de terre is potatoe ....yeah dude its a vegetable :)

  • @HunterMann Where the hell did you hear "pomme du terre"? It only said "pomme"

  • @franklongbottom1632 I heard pomme de terre from the chef at a restaurant today, heard it on the metro last week, in the market one month ago, I heard it often.. What is your complaint?

  • @HunterMann And it's not pomme DU terre, it's pomme DE terre.

Du = De le. If you say pomme DU terre, I believe you're specifying that the apple came from earth.

  • @franklongbottom1632 The apple DID come from Earth, unless you are trying to say that apples came from another planet, and that a UFO delivered them? I doubt that.

  • @HunterMann

    :) it's a potato

  • @HunterMann *Pomme de terre *

  • @HunterMann "La" pomme.. There is image too how could you think it was a potato? it's obviously an aple on the image.. "Potato" = "Patate" or "pomme de terre", I prefer "Patate".. well nine month old comment. I think you already learn it by that time. uhmm still post the comment :D

  • @NoobieLandCity Oh, we are back to the discussion of "pomme de terre"... I made a statement that "pomme de terre is not a fruit". It is not a fruit. Pomme(apple) is a fruit. Let's discuss it 9 months from now...

  • sur le coup me suis demandé ce que ca représentait votre vidéo c tout bête mais de gens ne connaissent pas les fruits. seule petite erreur le fruit que vous avez appelé une grenade est en fait une grenadille qui n'a rien a voir car cousine du fruit de la passion alors que la grenade fait partie de la famille des agrumes eh oui surprenant non?

  • its like in spanish, everyone has their own dialect, and everyone calls differents things. what may be something to you, it may be something different to another person.

  • the guy does claim that his french is the best, he tries to share something with us and that is perfect. my children love this. I am from Quebec and I say ''oasteque'' and my husbamd says ''melon d'eau'' comme quoi...

  • thank you ; )

  • i agree, a spelling or text would be very helpful... the idea is great though.

  • Hi, you'll find the same video with text in the "More from Imagiers" on this page.

  • It's nice, but it would be better if there were some spelling...

  • i agree with lunch10932 u should really paste the word..... this i my 1st yr in french class too bad im a senior=( but i wanna continue after i graduate

  • Note that in some places, like Quebec, pineapple is pronounced «anana» instead of «ananas».

Also, le «citron vert» (green lemon) is also called «lime»

  • oh, so it something like this:

Lime = la lime (Quebec), le citron vert (France)

Watermelon = Un pastèque (France), un melon d'eau (Quebec)

I live in Canada, am french speaking but i've never been able to figure that one out

  • love
