I wanted to comment on one of your videos where you had runners toe. Many distance runners never get it. I suggest , you (if you haven't already) go to a running shoe store that specializes in fitting athletes (beginners, amateurs, and professonals). I made this fatal error and now I can only run short distances because of plantar fascitis. Now I pay close attention to the shoes and the fit. Be careful and Have fun!
I went to a store called Fleet Feet yesterday to have my arch and everything else looked at to determine which running shoe I needed. OMG I had planter fascitis a few years back and OUCH! :o(
Amy, I am glad I found you...you are inspiring.The fact that you've slipped a tiny bit is still inspiring. I lost 65lbs in 2001-2and have steadily gained back 40lbs. I think it is MORE DIFFICULT after you've done it successfully before,because we KNOW what we are supposed to be doing,AND there's that "walk of shame" aspect. Also it's not as dramatic-there's not as much support.The hardest for me is getting back to the exercising...hell it's ALL hard.Maybe we can do this together, girl.Waddyasay?
Yeah that "walk of shame" will bring us down more bc I end up eating more and more and more when I feel like that. The exercise isn't my problem....its my eating habits. They are sooooo screwed up right now and its hard to turn back around and eat the healthy way again :o( When are you starting?

Another option for your shoes that you dont wear anymore is to send them to Haiti... I dont know if there is a Sports Chalet where you live, but if so, I think they are sending sneakers to Haiti for people... you should look into it.

I was supposed to run with them for the PF Chang Rock n Roll Marathon in Phoenix on January 17th, well the half Marathon, but I didn't raise enough to run with them and when I stopped training with them, I fell off with my runnin :( GL to you though, I think its great!

Have you considered that maybe 140 is your ideal body weight? Not as in the body you'd ideally like to have but the weight your body naturally strives for?
If so, it'll be much easier to maintain that weight than getting to a weight smaller than what your body type actually calls for.
I think that's one of the unnecessary causes of eating disorders--ppl trying to maintain sizes that their body is meant to be!
Be whatever size makes you happy though. Either change your body or your attitude.

Shop for groceries when you aren't hungry and buy food that's good for you but you will realistically eat. I buy a lot of bananas, natural almonds and tostitos hint of lime chips. I believe its white corn but I stock up on fruits and healthy snacks, if there is nothing bad in the house to eat you can't eat it. Now if you are desperate enough to run out to the store anyways to get like a snickers,Houston we have a problem lol.Personally I think you look great but do what makes you happy! :-)
and you want to get your snacking under control? Get your favorite snack - buy a huge bag, box or what ever the you THINK you like. Sit down and eat the whole bag or box - yep alllll of it! I guarantee you'll not eat any more of it for 6 months. you will not forget how disgusted you felt afterward.

So true...I've lost weight twice before...really easily....but for the past 4yrs I've been losing the battle...I've gained a tremendous amt that I NEED to lose and it's been sooo hard to get started and stick to it....I'll start...lose....and then regain faster than you can say gain :(
