Actually, Rush just spoke on his program yesterday about his reasons for choosing it. Apparently, his show was being broadcast to a traditional conservative crowd in Sacramento and he was told he needed a theme song. Rather than choosing something classical, as was suggested by his producers, he chose a song he figured his listeners would be unfamiliar with that, if they were to look up the lyrics, would ironically be against everything he stands for. Plus he liked the bass line :)

Actually, Rush just spoke on his program yesterday about his reasons for choosing it. Apparently, his show was being broadcast to a traditional conservative crowd in Sacramento and he was told he needed a theme song. Rather than choosing something classical, as was suggested by his producers, he chose a song he figured his listeners would be unfamiliar with that, if they were to look up the lyrics, would ironically be against everything he stands for. Plus he liked the bass line :)
