option 4 do like china and limit how many kids everyone can have. sounds like an option that many will disagree with but think about it. china did it so they could reverse their overpopulation. everyone in the world could do it. 2 kids to a family would decrease it slowly while allowing couple to have the option to have more than one kid. however war is also an old and effective temporary solution.
i agree that open revolt is no answer your idea is interesting, but how does everyone who chooses this path survive? we live in a world where everything is based on credit and debt. most of the people who care what happens later care because they have kids that they need to feed and cloth, but its not enough to kill the credit system if we default on our cards or stop using them- the only way to really stop participating is to live in a shelter, but someone will need credit to keep that going.

So many people know so many things I just don't understand why so few people are actually doing anything with what they know. Cool video, thanks for posting it.
It's true. How can people be so naive to think that every two people can have 5 children, who in turn meet 5 other people...(10persons) and each couple has 3.5 avg children..(35 persons) etc... Exponential Growth factor, exponential consumption factor, exponential pollution factor.. On and on. Any normal thinking person can understand this concept of how it will eventually be our demise; it's all about denial of it.
I hope things get better, I hope there will be a way out of all of this MESS.
but how many passed away? I'm sure you have the stats on that, probably only 300 I'm guessing. Meaning an adjusted increase of 300 or so more people to burden the earth.
By no means am I for population control, or especially Depopulation; as I believe every being on this Earth is entitled to the greatest joys life has to offer, and are all equal, soul possesing individuals who never "asked" to be brought here....but we have to get this under control Ourselves. I only have 1 child. AdoptPEOPLE!!
No, capitalist culture does not promote or emphasize such concerns as being relevant to the present. It's more concerned with short-term sense gratification.
Just ask any1 on the street how much attention on avrg do they consciously contribute to averting the destruction of the planet, or whether such a thing is even on their list of things to do before they die. lol The answers you get will confirm that consumerism/the economy has the highest priority, b/c for most people eating, havng nice clothes, a house, a car, a bf is first on the agenda. Anything else is just a hobby. lol
At the end of th day, I think for most people ego gratification and destroying the planet feels better than saving the planet and putting your ego in second place.
"But won't the powers that be try to prevent people from doing nothing?"
Well "the powers that be" made a whole host of herbal substances illegal, many of which have have potential to catalyze such a change in the collective human consciousness that the abandonment of capitalist society would have been foregone. So a better question is, "Have the powers that be tried to prevent people from abandoning capitalist culture?" The answer to that question is a definite 'Yes'.
I think I will steal that section and put it in the sidebar of my beyond civ video. That way i can fit it in without saying it. I want my next video on BC to be one video instead of two.
Sooo...if I go to the store and buy from a local farm or what have you, you are stating that I am contributing to giving the NWO power? That's a pretty bold statement man. Not EVERY corporation is evil or is included in the NWO. I think this is the reason a lot of people blame capitalism generally. Money is power, that's no secret, but I feel like a lot of people are blaming the wrong things here. I"m not sure where you get the idea that use of currency towards anything is a contribution.
You are exactly right on income taxes, however, sales taxes are actually worthy of payment, as well as excise taxes. As far as the recycling deal goes on plastics, it costs more, and more pollutants are released to actually recycle them, not to mention paying the recycling center to do it. The idea that recycling plastics helps anything at all is a myth. Trust unbiased sources, not modern day environmentalists. Look up Patrick Moore for someone you can trust. No, I've not seen that.
i would agree with that, if money was fair. (across the board) a handful of families own the idea of money, and we ALL rent it off of them. it is debt-slavery.
re-using plastic bottles is the best thing to do with em, in my opinion.
"story of stuff" is here on YT. its the best 21 minute documentary i have EVER seen.
(possibly the only 21 min doc...but that's beside the point)
Maybe you didn't read what I said about plastic bottles. Re-using them is fine, but the idea of actually recycling them is worse than throwing them away and manufacturing new ones. It's false marketing, just like with global warming. I'll watch the documentary, look up Patrick Moore. Ironically, he was interviewed on Penn and Teller's bullshit about the environment and recycling. Great information in those episodes. Btw...he was a founding member of greenpeace international.
Nope, I don't. Are you blaming capitalism for the false information for global warming? Sorry, I couldn't help but think you were talking about gw. The most well funded institutions are the ones ranting and raving about gw. I'd be more inclined to trust independent org's or people that actually know what they are talking about (some theories aren't scientifically possible).
Could you please specify what you mean by "supporting the economic system"? Not sure it's relevant the way I took it.
Those with the "wealth" will continue trying to colonize another planet before we collapse. As we get closer to that collapse, the more "they"re going to consider MAJOR population decreases to keep us from breeding ourselves to death like deer.
Yikes! So true. They have no use for us and look at us as cattle. They feel they own the planet...therefore have the right to determine what happens to all of us! sigh...
i really like your idea. but, what would this type of community do with a person like me. i have fibromyalgia and am for all practical purposes i am disabled. :)
if you look into tribalism, you will find that the members of a tribe experience what is called cradle to grave (or cradle to cradle) security.
i prefer to focus on abilities, rather than disabilities. reading/storytelling is an important part of any culture...and i'm sure we could think of many other valuable things you could contribute.
That's one of my biggest gripes with this system, and the people who preach against "socialism" is that we do NOT care for our elderly, handicapped, etc. Not even the ones that contributed with a great portion of their lives towards the betterment of that society. Funding? cut by people who use morality and god as a marketing tool.
one of my lastest passions, is to set up a home chem lab. i am a bit of a geek. lol
i have been told that i would make good writer. i could maybe also teach and tutor. i love math (not calculus). my math skills are probably somewhat rusty and i would have to relearn some of it. :)
I agree with you completely and all ready in progress. Moving to 100 acres given to me by my parents. Will grow our own food and become sustainable. Then we plan to help others do the same.
i think whats goign to happen is that there is going to be a very short nuclear war, then we will have these self sustaining communities., the population will be less than half of what it is on earth though
I disagree. All evidence of this has been refuted too many times for me to believe it. Sure, it would help if we all utilized our land to grow our own food and what not...but I really can't believe we're gonna run out of water, or food. Right now the thing I think we really need to fear is a tyranical state...part of which is pushing the global warming agenda based upon misinformation and propaganda. It's a marketing scheme to create more taxation.
Ah, forgive me. I didn't know that you agreed with him, hence making his opinion "correct". Remind me next time I need something validated to let you know so we can make it "correct". You might wanna read the rest of our discussion on here before stating your opini...or...I mean facts.
well said, my friend...I've been trying to make a video dealing with similar subject matter, but wasn't sure how exactly to proceed...it may work as a response to this great vid...thanks for making this.
For sure, the elite need a broad population to support their means (from private jets, the metal to make them, the fuel, the leather (the ranching of animals for leather(the tool making for ranching(the machining for making tools(the mining for making machines))))... A wicked web we weave.....
I do agree, that sooner (than later) we will experience some kind of Natural "Herd" Reduction event....probably a disease! (Viral)
you can do it the Amish do it they opted out the dont need that fancy-car the help each other to build that house not a mansion a house<
they are not trying to change the world over night , generational just as the elitists are with us today ,stop using the credit cards, stop buy things you dont need!stop getting the fancy clothes start with baby steps or start crawling before you can walk!
i used to be a member of the World Wildlife Fund. i left that organization because they started calling me every night asking for more money. of course, all these organizations must have money to operate and do some good- but in my opinion, WWF was one of the worst for dunning me for more. the NRDC seems better to me, i just sent of my 09 membership and contribution yesterday. peace
they are a good organization, the WWF- but i did get so tired of be called all the time with a plea for more money. perhaps it's changed these days, but for me- i didn't like the phone calls. i went to NRDC and Sierra Club after that ;) peace
Many in my generation tried this in the 60's. We dropped out. formed communes, grew our food, tried to escape the machine but in time we were worn down, scorned and our dreams of a better peaceful world melted into the dust of the 60's.
great video but how does one escape money when food and all lifes needs are drawn from that system... now im not talkin about people like me in maine where we have farms and smaller community, im talkin about my home town of nyc, there are just far too many people and too few resources for them to stop spending, it seems like a trap, i think the govt will perform mass murder (genocide) on all humans in order to correct this...
i think they have known about this and have been working on it for some time..i dont know this for fact but they have to know, and if i had that much power id know and id be doin what needed to be done, fix population however because thats the #1 problem.
people need to die, dumb people to the front of the line please.
I disagree. Instead, let's make population no longer an issue. Sometimes we can fix a problem by making a problem no longer a problem. Additionally, if you would like to help the population problem, kindly be the first, as an example to the rest of us. Unless you think this analogy/argument is flawed somehow.
if i understood what ur suggesting then i might, if ur suggesting i kill myself then, thats not gonna happen, i dont think i know what ur disagreeing with...how do u propose we make population not a problem? how do we make this problem a nonproblem? do you have any answers the world is waiting.
Currently I'm still thinking about it. Tied to this is the need to dialog, as this is a way to make ideas flow faster, often.
1. "if ur suggesting i kill myself then, thats not gonna happen"
2. "i think the govt will perform mass murder (genocide) on all humans in order to correct this"
3. Let government put its mouth where its proposal is and commit genocide on itself. The omission of the self from the rest seems to be, generally, at the root of much unpleasantness.
Basically what I'm saying is that the proposal sounds idiotic and that we should let things go awry, and think about stuff while it does go awry, rather than taking a gun out and blasting people to smithereens in a panic of want to control population.
A sustainable community...but where? Do you think the money masters wouldn't try to steal it away from free thinkers, somehow? I have been looking into Nomadic cultures, and even they are being edged out by "indutrialized society"
How, sirs and madams, would a college student do this? I have come to college to explore its thinking, and have found I am in a hole out of which I cannot climb. In that I think a lot and like thinking, I am "unable" to hold a job, which is seemingly the prerequisite for money, which is the prerequisite for food. Hence, dn, how can we Not spend the money which we seem to need?
well i can relate to this, what i have done is moved to maine and will be farming and supporting my local farmers. in life u must sacrifice for what u believe in, if you believe something is wrong dont blindly follow think of your own path to pave.
i watch your videos i just never comment. so i thourght id let you know i watch them all, and appresiate your views ;0) and keep doing your videos just because i like them so you should ;0)
it was Sophocles that said...."Wisdom outweighs any wealth." .... yet so few understand and grasp that concept, let alone the ramifications of not following it?
the knowledge to know that prelude and precursor are the same thing and to not argue with morons. which i am now aware you are so i will no longer take part in this convorsation good luck in school.

sorry dude but i find the whole premise flawed to begin with ,where do you get your figures the wwf the same wwf that was started by prince philip, hmm ,he wants pop reduction and we have to start living in sust housing etc while they fly all over the world eating 18 course meals, and all the rest, why do i have to pay for their indulgence so that their family can live forever while we are gmo and chemtrailed and vaccined and tased and the fucking rest to death, NO carbon tax period
ThrasherHunter 3 years ago
are you a typical alex jones fanatic?
wake up.
we are in the midst of earth's 6th mass-extinction.
half the planets trees have been destroyed.
oceans (as a food source) are 90% depleted.
factory-farming has depleted the soil by over 90%.
1/3 of Earth's resources have been consumed in the last 30 years.
i don't want to argue, but if you are like most other AJ groupies, i am just wasting my time, trying to debate logic with you.
dnHooligan 3 years ago
you forgot the bees
please give me the other 5 mass extinctions i missed those.
yup on the trees chemtrails are taking out more everyday we have weeping cankers on our chestnut trees here i have been screamin about it no one cares our food is going because the elite are taking us out oceans i dont know cant swim that deep
farming yup because of big farma not US
1-3 earths resources could be,but i doubt it have you heard of malthus he was fond of tossing out numbers he was full of shit.

those were natural. look it up. #6 is a direct result of civilized human consumption.

do you know why NO species (none, but civilized humans) destroys their environment?
do you know why?
...because it is suicidal.
it is the path to extinction.

malthus--old time economist who said population would always outstrip the food supply. No reason to think his 17th(18th?) century assumptions are accurate
lostinthought2008 3 years ago
thank you.
i disagree with that idea, right off the bat. every species population is directly related to its food supply.
we are no different.

ArrogusSs 3 years ago
from the beginning of this vid, to the end...there are 600 more people on the planet.
dnHooligan 3 years ago
but how many passed away? I'm sure you have the stats on that, probably only 300 I'm guessing. Meaning an adjusted increase of 300 or so more people to burden the earth.
By no means am I for population control, or especially Depopulation; as I believe every being on this Earth is entitled to the greatest joys life has to offer, and are all equal, soul possesing individuals who never "asked" to be brought here....but we have to get this under control Ourselves. I only have 1 child. AdoptPEOPLE!!
ArrogusSs 3 years ago
no. that figure accounts for death rate, too.
i want everyone to be able to live, but there are more people on the planet than it can naturally sustain.
i think we need to use our brains to survive, but at the same time; we DO need to curb population growth.
dnHooligan 3 years ago
No, capitalist culture does not promote or emphasize such concerns as being relevant to the present. It's more concerned with short-term sense gratification.
mermadeinheaven 3 years ago
sad but true
dnHooligan 3 years ago
Just ask any1 on the street how much attention on avrg do they consciously contribute to averting the destruction of the planet, or whether such a thing is even on their list of things to do before they die. lol The answers you get will confirm that consumerism/the economy has the highest priority, b/c for most people eating, havng nice clothes, a house, a car, a bf is first on the agenda. Anything else is just a hobby. lol
mermadeinheaven 3 years ago
At the end of th day, I think for most people ego gratification and destroying the planet feels better than saving the planet and putting your ego in second place.
mermadeinheaven 3 years ago
i don't (want to) think that the destruction is intentional...it's just stressed-out people doing what this culture says is the 'right thing to do.'
dnHooligan 3 years ago
"But won't the powers that be try to prevent people from doing nothing?"
Well "the powers that be" made a whole host of herbal substances illegal, many of which have have potential to catalyze such a change in the collective human consciousness that the abandonment of capitalist society would have been foregone. So a better question is, "Have the powers that be tried to prevent people from abandoning capitalist culture?" The answer to that question is a definite 'Yes'.
mermadeinheaven 3 years ago
The question then becomes, 'Without a strong enough incentive or catalyst, how does one abandon that which one has become addicted to?'
mermadeinheaven 3 years ago
oh, no. i wasn't offended.
is that an original quote? i'd really like to snag it.

I"m not sure where you get the idea that use of currency towards anything is a contribution.
smttysmth02gt 3 years ago
for the most part, i'm talking about taxes and production.
buying new crap (wrapped in plastic) and throwing it away, then repeating the process; just insures the rape and corruption will continue.
have you seen "story of stuff" by any chance?
dnHooligan 3 years ago
You are exactly right on income taxes, however, sales taxes are actually worthy of payment, as well as excise taxes. As far as the recycling deal goes on plastics, it costs more, and more pollutants are released to actually recycle them, not to mention paying the recycling center to do it. The idea that recycling plastics helps anything at all is a myth. Trust unbiased sources, not modern day environmentalists. Look up Patrick Moore for someone you can trust. No, I've not seen that.
smttysmth02gt 3 years ago
i would agree with that, if money was fair. (across the board) a handful of families own the idea of money, and we ALL rent it off of them. it is debt-slavery.
re-using plastic bottles is the best thing to do with em, in my opinion.
"story of stuff" is here on YT. its the best 21 minute documentary i have EVER seen.
(possibly the only 21 min doc...but that's beside the point)
dnHooligan 3 years ago
Maybe you didn't read what I said about plastic bottles. Re-using them is fine, but the idea of actually recycling them is worse than throwing them away and manufacturing new ones. It's false marketing, just like with global warming. I'll watch the documentary, look up Patrick Moore. Ironically, he was interviewed on Penn and Teller's bullshit about the environment and recycling. Great information in those episodes. Btw...he was a founding member of greenpeace international.

watch?v=ApoxNyVCsE8
dnHooligan 3 years ago
Nope, I don't. Are you blaming capitalism for the false information for global warming? Sorry, I couldn't help but think you were talking about gw. The most well funded institutions are the ones ranting and raving about gw. I'd be more inclined to trust independent org's or people that actually know what they are talking about (some theories aren't scientifically possible).
Could you please specify what you mean by "supporting the economic system"? Not sure it's relevant the way I took it.
smttysmth02gt 3 years ago
Those with the "wealth" will continue trying to colonize another planet before we collapse. As we get closer to that collapse, the more "they"re going to consider MAJOR population decreases to keep us from breeding ourselves to death like deer.
Mad Max, here we come.

if you look into tribalism, you will find that the members of a tribe experience what is called cradle to grave (or cradle to cradle) security.
i prefer to focus on abilities, rather than disabilities. reading/storytelling is an important part of any culture...and i'm sure we could think of many other valuable things you could contribute.

Earth will be fine, but it does not HAVE to support human life. we are in a race, to make it uninhabitable (by humans) as quickly as possible.
dnHooligan 3 years ago

Many in my generation tried this in the 60's. We dropped out. formed communes, grew our food, tried to escape the machine but in time we were worn down, scorned and our dreams of a better peaceful world melted into the dust of the 60's.

True5cience 3 years ago
great video but how does one escape money when food and all lifes needs are drawn from that system... now im not talkin about people like me in maine where we have farms and smaller community, im talkin about my home town of nyc, there are just far too many people and too few resources for them to stop spending, it seems like a trap, i think the govt will perform mass murder (genocide) on all humans in order to correct this...
True5cience 3 years ago 2
i think they have known about this and have been working on it for some time..i dont know this for fact but they have to know, and if i had that much power id know and id be doin what needed to be done, fix population however because thats the #1 problem.
people need to die, dumb people to the front of the line please.
True5cience 3 years ago
I disagree. Instead, let's make population no longer an issue. Sometimes we can fix a problem by making a problem no longer a problem. Additionally, if you would like to help the population problem, kindly be the first, as an example to the rest of us. Unless you think this analogy/argument is flawed somehow.
SomethingSeaAgain 3 years ago
if i understood what ur suggesting then i might, if ur suggesting i kill myself then, thats not gonna happen, i dont think i know what ur disagreeing with...how do u propose we make population not a problem? how do we make this problem a nonproblem? do you have any answers the world is waiting.
True5cience 3 years ago
Currently I'm still thinking about it. Tied to this is the need to dialog, as this is a way to make ideas flow faster, often.
1. "if ur suggesting i kill myself then, thats not gonna happen"
2. "i think the govt will perform mass murder (genocide) on all humans in order to correct this"
3. Let government put its mouth where its proposal is and commit genocide on itself. The omission of the self from the rest seems to be, generally, at the root of much unpleasantness.
SomethingSeaAgain 3 years ago
Basically what I'm saying is that the proposal sounds idiotic and that we should let things go awry, and think about stuff while it does go awry, rather than taking a gun out and blasting people to smithereens in a panic of want to control population.

SomethingSeaAgain 3 years ago
well i can relate to this, what i have done is moved to maine and will be farming and supporting my local farmers. in life u must sacrifice for what u believe in, if you believe something is wrong dont blindly follow think of your own path to pave.
