I always run JCM900 through FL Studio at the Fx slot and add a noise gat ( GreenGate wich is a freeware ) and looking to get some great distortion out of it. I got my guitar hooked up to the M-audio fast track pro
GUITAR>MARSHAL GUV'NOR>Line in on Audigy 2 ZS > VST plugin (Simulanalog suite - freeware)
Marshall guv'nor can be skipped here for even better sound but noise rises this way - software gain. Best option is going trough HiZ input (high impedance) of instrumental preamp, and good sound card.
Thanks

There is no amp, it goes like that:
GUITAR>MARSHAL GUV'NOR>Line in on Audigy 2 ZS > VST plugin (Simulanalog suite - freeware)
Marshall guv'nor can be skipped here for even better sound but noise rises this way - software gain. Best option is going trough HiZ input (high impedance) of instrumental preamp, and good sound card.
But the cheapest option is still playable.
No noise gate here

If you haven't got them yet then you HAVE to get the GUI versions of Simulanalog.
requietus blogspot has them and they look great and work very well. Just dll files, originals not needed.
