Type O Negative was the 1st concert I saw ever with Pantera in Ft Wayne, IN in 1995. It changed my life and turned me into a musician for life. Type O Negative will never die!
GOD, I can't get enough. I blew out my stereo playing Bloody Kisses (j/k), love Life is Killing Me, October Rust, but THIS is at the top of my list song wise. Peter was so intense, fuck Elvis coming back we want Peter!!!
Holy shit. This live version kicks so much fucking ass. I wish I wasn't 7 and living the heart of Appalachia at the time. I'd rather have been in Brooklyn.
This is one of the best and most "together" live performances I've ever seen. And to think, they were just at the beginning of their careers then. I'm glad I got to see TON when I did, but I can't help but wish I could have seen them back then.
@supraastra000 i seen them open for pantera on the far beyond tour. the whole car ride there all i did was bitch about how bad type o sucked, then when they hit the stage my eyes got really big like id just seen the most beatiful women ive ever seen and ive been a fan ever since. they sounded so bad ass back then.
I have listened to this masterpiece for 3 weeks straight..I can't get enough of it. Peter will be missed..I never had the oppurtunity to see t.o.n...I MISSED IT ALL!
yea im one of the ones that suffer from depression too sometimes im happy other times im down wishing i were dead my cousin says there is no such thing as depression but there is
I´m so glad I had the fortune to experience this! Left the gig without jacket, wallet, shoes and any sort of common sense - - But the cops drove me home the day after, such a nice bunch of public servants they are.
@havukuusi --I second that! If it wasn't for TON a few other bands and good close friends...there is NO WAY I would have made it through my teen years.....
Thanks so much for uploading, amazingly rare footage and brilliant sound ! Peter was the greatest of all time. WHAT A MAMMOTH SINGING PERFORMANCE! Compare this to the concerts he did at the end... What a sad development . These were the good old days that will never come back. Life will suck without him. RIP
Freakks ! ~ Suicide is an insult to life..!! N u wonder why there's so many depresed people in this country? ... stop listening to shit like this, meditiate and there u will find ur inner self... !!!
@camipa07 depression is a chemical imbalance which takes place in the brain in just about everyone these days. Suicide can occur if the depression is deep and everlasting. No fault of the individual at all, and I do not believe all victims to this horrid disease go to Hell because it is so hard to treat!!!! So be careful WHO you call a freak! If it wasn't for good music like this, there would be even more suicides!!!!!!!!!
damn it man, listening to all these songs makes my heart ache all the more...hard to believe I will never hear another sonic blessing from this man again...Peter you are the best!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing! The sound quality is INCREDIBLE for as old as this recording is. And amazing as well that they did the full song and not the usual live cut short version...
@crowbarftw not sure. one of the times i went to a TON show it was at first ave. greeat crowd participation they walked on to everyone shouting "you suck!" in unison. another time they had the studio audience signs: "BOO", APPLAUSE", etc. it was so fun. always a great time and great show. last time i saw them, they opened with a short version of the beatles "magical mystery tour" - priceless R.I.P. Peter
I saw these guys at L'amours on New Year's Eve, 1994. I was 16.
They had strippers on stage, and they gave out a ton of free Absolut Vodka to the crowd, including the teenagers. Needless to say, it was one of the greatest New Year's I ever had.. lol
Yeah, but does it really matter? I doubt even Type O Cares what you call their songs.
Try working titles such as "The Glorious Liberation Of The People's Technocratic Republic Of Vinnland By The Combined Forces Of The United Territories Of Europa" into a conversation sometime, ha.
(Thank god for copy and paste.)
Also, I'm glad they clarified that the version of Wolf Moon on October Rust includes Zoanthropic Paranoia. It's way better than the radio version that edits that part out. LOL
BTW, I had to modify and trim down my last message because Type O's song titles are so long it exceeded youtube's remaining character limit for text comments. :)
Fuckin great song! I think they did an amazing job with this performance and it sounded the most like the album version than any other song they did live (that I've heard)except for the last part of the song, then he started singing it a little differently. The only bad thing about this video is that Kenny isn't visible. The person filming cut him off.
And yes, early Type O was some of the best! Too bad they don't play much of it anymore...
Hell yea I remember back in the 90s watching them play at the Electric Factory in Philly. I saw them holloween when october rust came out. One of the best shows ever!
Remember buying Origin... and I really liked this version and Im loving the toilet paper being lobbed onstage. I think the early Type O stuff was awesome :)
Its Unjustifiable existence but it may have at times been I'm just a fireball. However the firestarter doesn't spark anymore. Now you know what happened to the flowers, she incinerated them in flame so they'd never wilt and decompose but scatter like ashes.
