you see, he has truth, by learning, and truly learning, undoing all that society imparts on us, and in fact inhibiting our ability to be as we are. Nature is our nature and we all can hold great knowledge.
I too would like a follow up, but it seems to be a success based on anecdotal evidence. Google Arnissa, Greece. And also check out flikr for Arnissa photos.
Yes, I would like to see updates to so many of these areas, it seems after the initial actors have left we no longer have interest. I really liked when Geoff Lawton returned to Jordan and showed what it looks like now. Otherwise, how can we even know if it was succesful?
I know how is this place now... I am from there and i am in the 2nd video.. Then i was chind about 12 years old. Now i an 21 y.o. and the things are tha same. No change... i heard before 2 - 3 years thats this was not successfull in Arnissa cause the sheeps and goats ate all this when they grew up.. I don't know exactly...
@AghsVasileiou Thank you for sharing. Can you ask around and come back with more information? It makes a big difference if it worked until it was overgrazed by sheep and goats, versus not work at all.
Okay, so as this project a success? Or is the Greek countryside still a barren landscape. I don't doubt the theory of the method, but what does the area look like now---12 years later.

Mr. Fukuoka's brilliance shall live on in the seeds he has planted in the Hearts of people as well as the hectors reforested...

I just wish they heeded Fukuoka-sans advice and used 100+ types of seeds instead of a fraction of the amount.
I do applaud them for what they did, and glad it worked out... at least from what I can see using the Internet.

@maynardhs79
A quick google map view shows me it worked, as did recent Flickr images of the surrounding lake sides.
Oh, and they method has worked for over 40 years now. :)

All that are inspired to grow, should if at all possible, obtain a copy of Masenobu Fukuako's book "One straw revolution".
Such wisdoms are rare in this world of corporatocracies & deceptions, but a worthwile effort will bring rich rewards.
