  • I heard Joan in The Royal Albert one Christmas at the end of the sixties singing "I Know That My Redeemer Liveth". Exquisite. I'll never forget it.

  • no one can sing this song, except amelita galli curci. -_-

  • what language in which is she singing this?

  • Mrs. Sutherland's Singing Art was unique.

  • Makes me long for home.

  • I love u Joan. May she sing forever. A true Diva !

  • 静かで穏かな中にも、豊かな情感を込めて歌うとても素晴らしい歌です。多くの歌手が歌う曲ですが、様々の個性が出ていて、聞き比べるのは面白いです。

  • She did this for an encore one sweet summer night at the Ravinia Festival north of Chicago and you could hear a pin drop. Joan loved life and people and that always rippled through her music. She was the star of the first opera I ever saw, "Lucia," and that night made me an obnoxious opera buff the rest of my life.

  • @waynebrasler

    Interesting.

I never loved life, neither people, neither this stupid, cruel and horrible world.

I wonder if this has been rippling through my music too.

    Probably it has.

Thanks for giving me something to think about seriously.

    Geert Dehoux, pianist.

  • Brought tears to my eyes

  • Beautiful Joan, and to think this was the year before her final stage performances! What a gem. What a voice.

    Bravo Joan, always.

    Sadly missed from the stage.
