Thank you for beautiful folk, who is singing the first part! and is it the same at the second! sounds like Samir El-Eskandarani, please correct me if I am wrong.
Muwashahat. Excuse me, talyania, for correcting you, I do it just for the case you would try to find other videos and you need the correct spelling. And I agree with you that Farida dances like if she would be flying.
Learning this dance was not easy. The complexity of the timing and the masterful interpretation of the music makes it a challenge to even the most seasoned dancer. Top of the line Egyptian dance.
This is really beautiful and unique. If there were more of this kind of art form, people would not automatically associate Middle Eastern dance with belly dance forms only.

I love Reda dances, I've learnt some. I love this music! Do you know the name of the shopand if we can order by internet or can you pass me the music?
The singer is the composer his name is Abdel Meguid el Mestikaoui...This is one of at least twelve songs which have been displayed on the egyptian TV in New Year Eve 1978 (not sure precisely of the year)...It was a fantastic beautiful piece of art ...The wordings, the dance, and the music
These dances are from Egypt, performed by the "Reda group" lead by the legendary Farida Fahmy. I dare assume Mahmoud Reda is the choreographer. I do Miss Egypt!!
I looked for the song for almost a year, until a friend of mine found it for me on a Sout el Kahera's tape!! Now, I can not believe my eyes seeing this video . . really Thank YOU :)))
It's really amazing, very sweet and nice... i love it. I learned this coreo once time ago, when i doesn't knowed that was Reda style, and when I see this I'm very happy. Please, can you say me the name of this song? Tank you so much. Besos
The first song is "ya ghareeb el dar" old/formal arabic for (O' you stranger!) it literaly translates to The One with Stange House!, which in old form of arabic language means the one we do not know where he/she came from, so she is a "stange/mysterious" woman:). The second song is "Ajaban l ghazal" which means A strange/weird deer . . the first vers of it goes: How strange this deer was able to play/manipulate thoughts and hearts!!
do you know the name of the song??? i only have the artist... :(
