@jorgo984 The Invid are a race of beings who consume The Flower Of Life located on a planet called Operta. It was an food and energy source strictly for the Invid. An humanoid scientist named Zor took a sample back to his world called Tirol and studied it. Zor found out that the energy from one plant could give unlimited energy and life. So the Robotech Masters were created and stole almost all of it. Since then The Invid has gone all out to get it back or their race would die.
@joesingle The Robotech Masters also razed Optera, so that it could no longer support life, so Earth is now the only planet where the Flower of Life can grow. Zor saw it in a vision (from ingesting the FOL), and sent his personal battle ship the SDF-1 there.
only cuz the characters in this season were so horrible to bigin with, that the only thing they can do is develop. i personally believe the Macross saga had better character development.
@MindPlayN Of course. remember this is originally designed to sell toys. Got to get the kiddies to buy the new toys, right? Don't want to give the autobots upgrades but not the decepticons, do we?
@pendell2 lol - gotta love marketing! But I so miss those toys - hard to find now (in stores). Online buying is nice to a point, but something about being able to buy it and have it instantly.
It's hard to imagine those bioroid pilots making all these fancy maneuvers on their hovercraft without wearing any seat belt. Green Goblin would be jealous.
@HCreams you hear of magnetic boots? they are fairly popular in sci-fi, they lock the wearer onto the metal object that they stand on when it is activated. just an easy way to look at what you said
