Excellent lecture, as always. I can't say how fed up I am though of reading comments saying "I did this in 8th grade" or whatever. Firstly that bollocks (cross product, angular momentum, torque, derivatives...yeah, right), and secondly, this is an INTRODUCTORY course in physics. Also, these are only the lectures; check out the exams on the mit open courseware site...
I KNOW, RIGHT?!?! @_@ Does he press the chalk against the board really hard or something? I mean making dotted lines in one stroke. Learn something new everyday
I consider to study Physic when I get older. How far into a Physicist's Education are we in this vid, cause there was alot of thing I did not understand (maybe also because it was in english hehe)? The bachelor years? cand.?
No you haven't. You didn't take integral calculus in 8th grade, nor did you perform expansions of Taylor series. Derive Bernoulli's equation, at age 12 did you? Shut up.
It's really irritating when little know-it-alls spout before they speak.

This is a most excellently presented Physics pretest topical review. This reminds me of the good ol' days.
keep these videos posted... but it wud hav been better if there was pure mechanical engineering section, where you get lectures for mechanical engineering course alone.
Liked this review - good practice for algebra.

Why not use f for angular frequency instead of omega?

it would be easier if he just ignores the forces and tensions on the rope and pulley, and just focus on the two masses, to not complicated it more.

.... Does he have a banana sticking to his chest?
Also, this doesn't seem to cover the stuff I'm learning right now in high school calculus. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing though.

Before you speak go check my school books and my school program. Just because your school has one system it doesn't mean others will have the same.
I studied in a different country.
Ana at age 12 I was not in High School. well only in the first 3 months of Junior High.
You can't assume all countries have the same system as yours.
