  • Fuck me, Cecil is good

  • Not a competition, but I'll take Cecil over Eminem any day.

  • yes-there was love in the air you shoulda took breathes <3

  • So just found this...

    Fuck yes.

  • i can't escape lil wayne arguements on utube

  • @hootie017 Holy fuck.. finally a conscious human being. Yeah, i know it's either justin bieber or lil wayne and the people who vote those comments up are usually new to the underground and can relate to such a shitty comparison. Just listen to the music

  • derder

  • See ya in ATX

  • Soooo in love with all of Cecil and Doomtree's music. <3

I think I just had an eargasm.

  • Found out about Doomtree from the Derder Dementia Paintball trailer... So glad I did.... fucking awesome

  • good stuff

  • @Kopchka55 I really dont think anyone who is listenin to Doomtree doesnt know about RSE

  • ...........this is...LiFE

  • who would dislike this?!

  • Cecil Otter changed my life.

  • 3.14 metaphors per second

  • thumbs up if you have the original version

    Wings & Teeth!

  • and yes, im leaving to rest,

in the heart of your machine,

    while its bleeding to death

    until its carcass is clean,

im feeding the rest of its still beating chest

to the lesser of your subjects.

  • I don't see whats wrong with listening to mainstream and underground? trying to separate them only goes to prove you are focusing on the social aspect of the music. I say listen to anything you want, haters are gonna hate.

  • when people like cecil exist, i wish i could meet them just to give them a hug and say thanks.

  • Why would you listen to something just because it's underground? That's incredibly pathetic.

  • Doomtree and Rhymesayers are killin it!

  • 3 people forgot how to spell "country hits"...'

    Cil is ridiculouS!!!!

  • Love underground but hate this...

  • ...where it was all for one, or one on all fours

  • underground will never be enough to become rich and famous. not enough people listen to them for them to be mainstream because most people don't care for what the people are saying they just care about the beat and shit. that is the only reason waka flocka is famous. I go hard in the paint? no one gives a shit if you think your the best that's why underground is true music.

  • @Two7Clips

    You're a faggot.

All people who don't like things because they are 'mainstream' are faggots.

Like what you like because you like it, because disliking something that's mainstream is being close minded, and that in itself is mainstream.

  • @sweetxkhaos Wow you're retarded.

  • @sweetxkhaos I don't think that it would make you a faggot to not like mainstream stuff. Would you like something if it got played on the radio 100 times in one day? Would you like your favorite rapper to sell out and suck ass but be popular? Do you really think that it's bad to dislike mainstream music, or anything that's popular in general? I see what you mean, but think about it a little bit more

  • @bubbadude117

Think about it a little more? If a song got played 100 times a day on the radio and I liked it, I would listen to it 100 times.

If my favorite rapper sold out but I still liked his music, I would still support him.

YOU think about it a little more. Letting other people determine what YOU like and don't like is fucking foolish. I'm not saying its bad to dislike mainstream shit. I'm saying it's bad to dislike something BECAUSE it's mainstream.

  • @sweetxkhaos You're not getting the point. If you heard something 100 times a day, you would hate it. And if you still liked him even if he sold out and sucked than I can't argue with you. I dislike mainstream music because I don't like the quality of the music and like 95% of the artists are gay. And that's a fact.

However I completely agree with you about not letting other people have a say in what you like to do or listen to.

  • @Two7Clips

They are pretty much mainstream, now. You wanna see more underground, check out Mike the Martyr...

  • @lilwerm848 do0d i wish my sis listened to underground :/ all she listens to is "radio music" :P ..youre one lucky person

  • @Two7Clips I agree. fuck that mainstream bullshit. It changes an artist, weather they realize it or not, it does. keep this shit underground

  • Anyone know what samples he uses in this? I know I've heard it before, but I just can't figure out from what. Specifically like 2:05 - 2:12. Like just the part that sounds like a girl going "la da?" I feel like it might be a kno sample or something. IDK its been bugging me all day? Anyone know?

  • Otter is really good I can't believe I had never heard his music till just two days ago

  • This song is what got me into hip-hop. I used to listen to like punk and shit, and thought all hip-hop and rap was that auto-tune shit you hear on the radio, then I heard this in a promo for DerDer's new movie, and I was hooked. Now I'm in love with the whole doomtree crew, and so much other stuff. THANKS CECIL! hahaha

  • Great great song.

  • this song is sick man

all for one or one on all for.........

  • illest

  • @Two7Clips fuck you dog.you dont think that any artist wouldnt want their music to be heard and get more fans as they expand lyrically you selfish bitch.

  • @VillageThe Two7Clips Has a point, Once music hit's the Mainstream radio's and Listeners it turns to over played shit just like everything else to hit Mainstream....

Cecil & Doomtree are Underground for a reason..

  • @killianUDOWN It might become overplayed, but that doesn't make it shit. If DTR blew up right now (which wouldn't surprise me) they would still be dope as hell.

  • @killianUDOWN fosho i agree about that, but they're are plenty of hip hop heads need to be turned on to this type of shit.

  • So sick.

  • I was arguing to my sister's boyfriend about hiphop the other day.

He tried to tell me how deep Lil' Wayne was and how all his lyrics meant something.

    I popped in this CD.

    He just stopped talking.

  • @heartbeatzUno NICEEE

  • @heartbeatzUno All my friends are like that, They all need to hop if Wayne's auto tuned dick... Introducing them to Cecil and Immortal technique ftw.

  • @killianUDOWN Hell yeah man. Eyedea & Abilities is pretty bomb too.

  • @heartbeatzUno if youve only pranced in puddles you cant fathom the depths of the ocean

maybe your sisters boyfriend is not a man

  • @heartbeatzUno That never happened you ugly faggot I hope you die

  • mp3iffy works again wooohoooo awesome - google mp3iffy

  • I like it when rap isn't about violence and how many cars someone has....

  • @mike11h27 that's why I stay away from Mainstream, However I do like Immortal Technique and he talks about killing but he is ill as fuck.

  • they were trained to kill all the silence- villagers, people of the land

using nothing but silk gold and diamonds- resources of the the reason

they used the skills to build roads to islands- speaks for itself, destruction of the land

and i aint gonna leave tell the hills close their eyes- resources plundered, beauty

    turned to waste lands.

    just my interpretation...

  • Great song, i wasnt really into rap, but this i really enjoy.

  • this kind of makes me sick...

none of these people know where that song came from, as well as the title that was stolen here...

Rod Evans must be as sick to his stomach as I was when I heard about this...

Its better to not ruin great things,

and If you are going to, you should atleast site the original creator of what you are stealing.

  • @nicolascageification , *cite, and putting two words together is rarely worthy of referencing, it's more than plausible he thought it up independently. Also do you really not like the song? I think it's stunning.

  • @NkdSingularity if putting two words together was the case than I would understand. The only thing is... the fact that that sample is from a band who had an album and song titled Sufficiently Breathless..

  • @nicolascageification captain beyond sucks

  • Is he rapping about the industrial revolution? O.O

  • If everyone listened to this they would have an inspiration into deeper listening and how can a society like that be negative in any possible way?

  • Wow Captain Beyond - A Thousand Days Of Yesterdays samples...hope they are getting the credit. Underrated 70's rock band.

  • Doomtree and Rhymsesayers is real music.

  • this cat is so sick...makes me glad to b from minneSNOWta

  • CECILLLLLL, U da man

  • This song is amazing. I love Doomtree, I just got the Dessa album (so so good)

  • i was lookin up videos for mcnallysmith and i kept seeing doomtree all over so i just clicked and i'm happy did.

  • Doomtree! Wings and teeth for life!

  • is that a modest mouse sample at the begining?

  • it sounds like modest mouse style a tad, im unsure

  • @pelle727247 lyrics wise for me :) where the artist gives the details but not the name of the subject they're talking about (my favorite style)

  • amazing

  • im takin breathes

  • feel the vibes ... big up Cecil !!!

  • If you guys like Cecil and aren't yet familiar with Doomtree, check out Sims, Dessa, Mike Mictlan, P.O.S., and any of the Doomtree collaborative albums that all five of the artists put out together. It's the best hip hop has to offer.. original, clever lyrics with beats that can't be... beat.

  • I got hooked on Cecil after i picked up P.O.S's Never Better and found out about Doomtree

  • same here man, P.O.S. not only got me into Cecil, but Sims (doomtree) and Brother Ali (rhymesayers) too

  • funny...brother ali got me into doomtre, then p.o.s, then cecil...fucking sick music

  • Ever hear the Heavy metal kings thomax remix? those beats are BEAST

  • @MrCephus21 doomtree is great but rhymesayers is my favorite check them out if u havnt yet atmosphere, brother ali, eyedea, blueprint

  • @MrCephus21 Sorry man, but Doomtree runs 7 deep, not 5! But all of them kick way too much ass to even begin to explain!

  • @rhcpfan0 You're right... don't know why I failed to mention Lazerbeak and Paper Tiger... guess I was just thinking of the rappers. Those two definitely deserve the mention as much as anybody. I mention the beats, but not the beat makers. My bad.

  • woooooh Cecil Ottter :D

  • Best song on this album.

  • the thing about bringin under ground like this to the mainstream is you get a bunch of random ass people just puttin stuff on c.d.'s that they dont even know what the hell it is......just like lupe, i mean i know he's not underground but he's a example off good, quality mainstream. ansd it just pisses me right off when ya hear some one listenin to it in there car and ya ask them who their listein to and their just like "i dont know i just like the beat" it really pisses me off

  • great song. you people are saying keep it underground? you are all crazy. I play my playlist of underground music as every party i have and people come up to me and ask who all the artists and songs are, then they look at em and email me about how i always have the best music playing when people are around. i just send them my youtube play list and they all find something meaningful from most of the songs. Why wouldn't you want the mainstream back how it was in the early 90s? souls of mischief?

  • that's a great point and i agree with you, yet at the same time i feel like recently a lot of artists have sort of been corrupted once they've been discovered and brought into the mainstream

  • Cecil is your best friend you never met. And yes this must stay low key...its the shit you put on when your needing the dose, and not some mainstream medium half assed shit.

  • damn cecil is too good

  • shit like this is what makes me get through my days lately. radio music may do it for some people but I love having to listen and unravel an image the artist is trying to portray. this dude is new to me but he is one of the smoothest emcee's I have heard.

  • I used to think that way. I am 26 now and my perspective has changed. I remember being 18ish listening to underground hoping no one would find it ever. Thing is if thousands listen to this type of music they will be forced to change their perspectives. There is no way you can listen to lyrics such as these and depict them in any other way. Sure a few might but the majority well.... you just can't turn this into cars, money, and such.

  • i definitely agree with that. but you just dont want ppl droppin someones name cuz of one song they heard gettin all hyped on that. but they dont no what anything, like the lyrics means. and just forgot about it when the next big thing happens. you dont want this kind of music to be a fad.

  • words with more wisdom have never been spoken

  • @feldm4n My perspective, mainstream media has an audience not appropriate for such music. They won't change their perception of music and it will be wasted upon them. It soils good music for me. Sure I would love for everyone to understand and appreciate this but the 'thousands and thousands" Two7Clips speaks of are those that can't. Or at least that's my take on his words

  • @feldm4n dude Hell yeah feldman, real stuff right here.

  • @feldm4n totally agree. Peeps are gonna be innovative and original, or not, whether they are popular or not. But I would rather have any member of Doomtree on the waves, taking hoe the scratch than total crap like Lil Wayne. It's people like these, who do it out of honest love for the poetry, that DESERVE to get paid for it.

  • @feldm4n I still like stuff to be non-mainstream, but it would be nice if this was more popular, at least with the internet

  • I feel you on that, but in someway I hope that people discover it, and take heart to it.

  • shit yeah, this is probably my new fave track from dude. cecil's the fuckin man

  • Why can I not find stuff like this at a local shop? : /

  • Because Clear Channel makes sure that doesn't happen. They don't want people to think. It's a shame. Try to find a local "underground" shop. Also look up Doomtree and Strange Famous Records. You can order this album and others from there.

  • Oh, I know. Already ordered a good portion of stuff from them the other day. Now I'm waiting impatiently at my mailbox. Hehe. :P

  • I cannot stress it enough, ASK your local record shop to order it. Fuck best buy and other chains. support your local mom and pop record store. the 3 dollars a disc is chump change when payin 13 or 14 in the first place.

  • @feldm4n Mostly. But I saw Eyedea & Abilitiez at best buy once. O.O

  • @feldm4n

its gotta be local. I live right by minneapolis and stophouse and rhymsayers and shit is everywhere. its real nice

  • I will be listening to this everyday for the rest of my life..

  • cecil otter is the bomb...tragedy only 1883 views

  • lake shore drifter!

  • Very good, i like the original one a little more, this is 2nd recording.

1st one is a lot shorter,

love how it picks back up though.

cecil otter and p.o.s. are some of the best lyrical rappers. just insane.

saw them at sxsw last year, unforgettable

  • so double knot the laces on your boots when you leave, cause troubles got the ace of every suit in it's sleeve

  • seriously?! no comments and only 440 views, people need better taste in music. cecil and the doomtree crew are the best around. People need to open up there eyes.
