no, he got discriminated against cuz he SUCKED in this contest. He shouldn't have even been voted into the dunk contest in the first place. He made it ONLY because he played on a winning team that year and got lots of tv exposure as a result. Not exactly,there,in NBA he may be a Rokkie cuase he's in his first years...but he turned pro when he was 17 in DKV Joventud(spanish team)and there,he won many titles being the absolut leader of the team.That's the difference between foreign players and USA players,these just have played in NCAA(teens no proffesional basket),while the foreigns,arrive nba as formed pro players from their countries and have been in many internacional championships,but they have to get used to NBA style and rules
