Well, I mean, I don't know how you guys make bloody drinks where you're from. I've heard of people using beer, and I guess it wouldn't be bad if you actually use real tomato juice, but where I grew up in Texas we make bloody Marys and Caesars with vodka.
in canada, we make caesars with clamato and vodka. i hear that clamato isn't too popular in the states and that the bloody mary is the standard. but yeah. dunno who came up with this idea.

maybe it's a prairie thing. We drink red eye's all the time in Manitoba and I know they're not uncommon in Saskatchewan as well
