The one thing I really appreciate about the CQC-8 is the "boat tail" butt end of the handle. I EDC both the 8 & the 7 (two is one -- one is none ;-) The Emerson V grind is f'ing sharp and so easy to sharpen when one understands the angle of the edge in relation to the bevel. I love their grinds and think this is one thing that sets them apart from many other knives.
I carried it a few times, but I always seem to reach for the CQC-7! I get alot more use out of the size and shape of the 7's tanto... the 8 looks wicked but it seems more suited to take out a bad guy imho!! ; )
