We expect prosperity to continue with out innovation; what happens when China starts making what only we used to make. Oh wait, that already happened. Americans are a bunch of whiners..I hope and pray for $10 a gallon gas and a 10 year recession. And obama himself says it in the very video, that we were losing jobs when the economy was growing. equate jobloss with a lack of innovation, not with the shortfallings of a Bush administration.

I agree, it isn't a figment of our imaginations, but that isn't what gramm said. He said that it was mental, to be taken as we believe we our in a recession which puts us in a recession; it isn't a recession until the people believe it. I must say, we got ourselves in the mess by speculating on homes, buying crap we couldn't afford, not innovating, failing to learn new skills, and generally becoming comfortably lackadaisical.
